Somehow, our ruckus at our seats didn't really catch Himeko's attention.
We managed to keep all of our jokes at a low enough level of volume to not catch the teacher's attention.
This is progress for Kiana at least!
The other three of us were a lot more prudent normally than to be caught, even at Chiba back then.
The combat class went by quickly, with Kiana being called first amongst the three girls.
My fight against Himeko was more of a personal challenge from me at the beginning of the class. She accepted of course, knowing that I was very likely a lot, lot stronger than the other students.
I fought a Herrscher after all.
I wanted to adapt to their abilities and give them the inaccurate estimate, but couldn't I only do that because they wanted to know too?
This was only natural of course. I didn't think that any of this curiosity was malicious from Himeko or Theresa's side.
Still, perhaps there were factions I didn't know about in Schicksal. And those guys…
Well, I needed to keep them curious and guessing now, don't I?
Kiana's battle was barely anything to watch. With her amount of raw strength and natural athleticism, the girl standing opposite of her got speed blitzed before she could even lift her hands.
Kaslana's bloodline diff.
"Not bad." I commented as Kiana cheerfully went back up to where we were.
"Of course! Haha! I'm aiming to be the strongest Valkyrie some day."
Her arrogant boasts weren't the most quiet, so they drew some attention. However, it seemed like no one really cared too much about it considering Kiana already proved her strength with action, even as a new student.
Now if she lost and said this though… it might be another story.
"Bronya Zaychik"
So next is her turn huh?
"Good luck." x3
I even gave her a pat on the back before she went down.
While I wasn't really worried about her fighting, the thought is more important than anything else in my opinion.
And as expected, she sorta blasted them.
That poor girl Bronya was fighting against just kept shooting her guns at her. All of them either got blocked by Project Bunny's barrier or dodged. Then, the girl was knocked out of bounds a bit later.
To be honest, I couldn't even blame her. What else could that girl do close quarters against a frigging mecha?
Hmm…
Now that I think about it, what if Bronya one day turned Project Bunny into Homuzord…
Yes. I am talking about Megazord.
Anyways, Bronya came back without breaking a sweat.
And when it was Mei's turn…
I will say that she had gotten really good at juggling people around with her sword techniques.
In the end, there was no real harm done, and no harsh feelings amongst the students somehow. It seemed like Bronya, Kiana and Mei, due to their strength and multiple other factors, were very convincing to the students…
Or maybe it was me.
Who knows?
Coincidentally enough, Mei's fight was the last one for the day as the school bell rang, indicating it was time to go to rest up for a bit.
Combat classes were held in the morning on some days according to Himeko because they wanted students to be able to fight at their best. Studies would come later after a bit of resting time.
I found that a bit… counterintuitive. One would think that exhaustion from combat would build up, making classes hard to focus on. However, considering that this was a Valkyrie school and not just a normal school, I suppose that some sacrifices needed to be made…
That or we're expected to grind through it since we're superhumans amped by zombie energy juice.
Wow that sounds bad now that I think it out loud in my head.
But oh well. It didn't really matter to me. For normal students, it wasn't everyday and I wouldn't listen even if it was in the mornings.
"Guys…' I whispered.
"?" x3
"I'm gonna dip first."
"But why?" Kiana asked. Then, some form of understanding came on her face. "Wait! You're gonna skip class aren't you?" She grabbed my arm. "You can't run away without me! What would I do without you??!!!"
I gently removed her hand.
"This is for your own good, Kiana. You can't skip school on the first day."
But I can.
HAHAHAHAHA
"Who says I can't?! I have two feet! I can do whatever I want!"
"Sister Mei. Are these two really going to skip?"
Mei didn't answer.
She just gave me that raised eyebrow look.
I cleared my throat a bit as I explained. "You see, I need to go earlier so that I won't get asked stuff by others y'know? I don't really want to interact with other people…"
That… was not completely accurate.
More of, I heard that students would gather around new students to hound them if they're conventionally attractive.
I'm not that arrogant [Kiana/Bronya/Mei:Liar], but I knew a handsome lad when I saw one.
"So Gojo doesn't want fangirls?"
…
Leave it to Bronya to say the quiet part out loud.
There's no way she's not still trying to ragebait me, right?
Nevermind.
I have the right trick for this.
A sigh came from my lips.
"Who said that? I wouldn't mind fangirls if you were one of them, my lovely secretary~"
I blew a kiss at her.
She promptly dodged it.
"The Bronya does not want a boss that does not pay wages at all. Reporting to the government may result in Gojo paying a hefty fine and jail time."
"You mean a tax?" I ruffled her hair, making her frown slightly. "My dearest Bronya, I won't go to jail no matter what I do. You know that as well as I do."
"Gojo is openly stating his corruption."
"My money is only speaking the truth."
"Yeah, yeah…" Kiana interrupted impatiently, getting between us. "If you wanna skip classes, we gotta go now! Auntie Himeko might come any time!"
"Alright, alright."
I gave Bronya and Mei a two finger salute.
"See ya. We're gonna go to the mall or something."
And then, Kiana and I ran to the door before we got a full response from the other two. After all, Mei would stop us if we gave her too much time to think!
As the door came closer and closer, I could feel the pure, unadulterated joy coming from Kiana as well.
No classes for us today!
Studying and all the serious stuff would come another day!
For now, let's go explore the whole place!
"Excuse me. Are you perhaps, Gojo Satoru and Kiana Kaslana?"
