Chapter 202 - Divine Assistance

"Who the hell are you? I suggest you stop sticking your nose where it doesn't belong!" At the young man's command, his two followers quickly closed in. "You three... why don't you go and perform some acts of charity instead?" Lian Kong replied with a smile.

Suddenly, as if under a magic spell, the three men spoke in unison: "Understood, my Lord!" They quickly piled into the car and drove off, leaving Xinya standing there in a daze. "Who... who are you?!" She swayed, feeling faint. Just as her footing gave way and she was about to collapse, Lian Kong decisively stepped forward to catch her.

"My, this observation subject is more fragile than I imagined. Oh well, I'll play the 'good samaritan' to the end and get you home," Lian Kong said. He took hold of her and initiated a teleportation; in an instant, they were back near the slums. "What on earth?!" Xinya, snapping back to her senses in shock, quickly pushed away from Lian Kong's embrace and stared at him as if looking at a monster.

"Although your ordeal today was a result of karmic transformation, since I have designated you as an observation subject, I simply had to intervene," Lian Kong laughed helplessly. "You still haven't answered my question!" Xinya retorted angrily. "Your God—nothing more," he replied with a casual wave of his hand. A brand-new flying motorcycle and several large bags of food appeared out of thin air, landing right in front of Xinya. "In two months, this world will be destroyed. Whether you can save yourselves depends on your own destiny," he said before transforming into points of light and vanishing without a trace.

Xinya witnessed it all in disbelief. She rubbed her eyes frantically, still unable to trust her own sight. She then reached out and gently stroked the polished motorcycle; the texture felt so real. Only then was she forced to accept this dreamlike reality. But how could she tell everyone what had happened? They would surely think she had gone mad.

"Is he truly a God...?" Xinya continued to mutter to herself as she stood there. Looking at the charity before her, she wasn't sure how to handle it. Initially, she considered using "theft" as an excuse to gloss over the truth. While theft wasn't unheard of for the supply procurement department, acquiring this much bounty all at once wouldn't be easily believed. After much thought, she decided to be honest about everything. That evening, as her companions returned one by one, they brought back small harvests, but they paled in comparison to what Xinya had obtained.

"We're back~" her teammates called out from a distance. Xinya went out to greet them with a serious expression. Once everyone was settled and resting, she set down her water cup and spoke: "Everyone, something happened to me today that I need to tell you. I hope you won't be too shocked; let me explain it slowly." The group perked up their ears and leaned in as Xinya recounted every detail of her ordeal.

After a long silence following her story, everyone was, as expected, wearing expressions of pure shock, their eyes wide. "What you're saying is too profound; I can't wrap my head around it for the moment..." Jesse stood up to respond. "If it's true, then that God must have feelings for you~" Saiying teased with a mischievous grin. "What nonsense are you talking about?!" Xinya snapped. Despite how fantastical her experience sounded, the presence of the supplies served as undeniable proof, leaving them with no choice but to be convinced. After careful consideration, they decided to accept the facts for now.

"Since that God gave this motorcycle to you, you should be the one to use it from now on," Jesse said with a smile. "I'm jealous, but it really does seem like a token of his affection~" Qili chimed in. Under the collective teasing of the group, Xinya's cheeks flushed a deep red. She made an excuse and quickly took her leave.

That night, she finally got to take a hot bath, washing away the unbearable scent of sweat. After changing into casual clothes, she leaned against the windowsill, thinking back to the mysterious man who kept appearing. "If I meet him again, I'll have to ask for his name," Xinya murmured to herself.
