Chapter 314: The Era of the Douluo God Realm – Part IV: Gu Yuena

With Douluo Star's affairs finally running smoothly, Ye Wen could now turn his attention to personal matters.

For centuries, marriages between humans and soul beasts had gradually become unremarkable on Douluo Star, but the reason for this trend remained a topic of speculation. Today, the answer would finally be revealed.

The Silver Dragon King, Gu Yuena, a God King level ruler of all soul beasts, and Ye Wen were officially wed, marking the true unification of all intelligent life on Douluo Star.

In his public address, Ye Wen explained the significance of this union:

To strengthen one's martial soul lineage, one could pursue one of two paths: either push oneself to the limit through cultivation, potentially advancing one's martial soul around the Soul Saint or Title Douluo level; or, alternatively, consider marriage with a 100,000 year transformed soul beast. At this level, a soul beast's bloodline was among the highest quality, meaning that the first generation of offspring would inherit either the father's or mother's powerful abilities, granting them immense potential from birth.

However, Ye Wen also established strict regulations on such unions: 100,000 year soul beasts were to be fully protected by law, and coercion or deceit would be strictly prohibited. Any violation would be considered a breach of the Holy Soul Constitution. Additionally, these soul beasts would be instructed in human customs and hidden among the population, reducing the risk of exploitation.

Over time, humans had set aside their former prejudices against soul beasts, and many approved of these new laws. The possibility of unknowingly marrying a 100,000 year soul beast brought an element of excitement to common soul masters as well.

As for why high level soul beasts were interested in transforming into human form, the answer was simple. For a top quality human, reaching the threshold of godhood in a hundred years was feasible, but soul beasts typically required over ten thousand years of cultivation to match a Title Douluo. Any 100,000 year soul beast with a bit of sense would understand this choice. And with Ye Wen himself leading by example, any soul beast without deep seated animosity toward humans accepted the new system willingly.

To support this change, Ye Wen offered generous incentives for soul beasts willing to integrate into human society. As for those who refused, they were welcome to remain in the soul beast forests until their natural end.

Notably, Ye Wen did not remove the rule of tribulation for soul beasts reaching the 100,000 year level. Altering such universal laws required vast divine power, which Ye Wen did not wish to expend on this matter. He believed that any soul beast stubborn enough to defy reason might as well face the consequences.

On the evening of the wedding, Gu Yuena, the Silver Dragon King, sat elegantly in a pristine white wedding gown with delicate silver scales, waiting for Ye Wen.

The door creaked as Ye Wen entered. Although he was accustomed to Gu Yuena's breathtaking beauty, being alone with her like this made his heart race.

But Ye Wen was no longer the impulsive young man he once was. Steadying himself, he took a seat across from her.

"Do you regret this?" he asked quietly.

Gu Yuena looked up at him, her violet eyes calm.

"What do you mean?"

"You, the sovereign of all soul beasts, binding yourself to a human. Do you regret it?"

"You should know," she replied coolly, "that human emotions mean little to me. My only goal now is to ensure the survival of the dragon clan. Stop these pointless questions and proceed."

With that, she rose gracefully, and with a slight motion, her gown slipped off like the shell of an egg, revealing a flawless form that seemed to defy the natural order. Her beauty was overwhelming, her figure crafted to perfect proportions. Her presence, both noble and unapproachable, left Ye Wen in awe.

But Ye Wen also saw the unyielding calm in her gaze, a trait of the rational side of the Dragon God's essence she embodied.

"Well, Gu Yuena," he murmured to himself, "let's leave the past with the Dragon God behind. This is my era now."

He stood up and gently laid her down upon the wedding bed, beginning a night of perfect harmony.

The next morning, Ye Wen awoke early, gazing at his new bride, her silver hair spread around her face, softened with a faint flush. He leaned in to kiss her forehead.

Regardless of the past, the Silver Dragon King was now his wife, a partner and an invaluable ally. So long as she remained loyal, Ye Wen would always stand beside her as her unshakeable support.

Dragon God? Try laying a hand on her, and I'll end the rest of you.

Following Ye Wen's wedding, Douluo Star entered a period of peaceful stability. Soul masters, driven by aspirations of godhood and other desires, devoted themselves to cultivation. Though becoming a god required reaching the Title Douluo level before fifty, many still embraced the chance. With enough progress, even commoners could elevate their entire family's standing.

Ye Wen's policies also discouraged battles among high level soul masters, ensuring common soul masters were motivated to improve without fear of oppression.

During this time, Ye Wen was preparing a grand project of his own: forging his own ultra divine weapon.

Using the Sea God's Trident no longer felt fitting for a God King like him. However, Ye Wen understood his true role well. Frontline combat was not his strength; support was. So, his new ultra divine weapon would be an auxiliary tool one that would surpass any ultra divine weapon once held by a God King.

"How are the metals I requested coming along?" he asked as he worked on his blueprint in the office.

Blueblue, his assistant and former disciple, had long since reached god level strength. Her figure was curvaceous and mature, and the gold framed glasses she wore only added to her allure.

Despite her exasperation at her master's relentless demands, she obediently replied, "Master, per your specifications, the first batch of ten thousand tons of metals has been prepared and stored in the northern lands, awaiting your arrival for inspection."

Ye Wen nodded with satisfaction, adding the finishing touches to his blueprint. Blowing lightly over the ink to dry it, he admired his work.

"Begin gathering the second batch as well. This amount won't last long."

Blueblue nodded and prepared to leave to carry out his instructions. Just before exiting, she cast a longing glance his way, but Ye Wen was too engrossed in his plans to notice.
