Chapter 324: The Era of the Douluo God Realm – Part XIV: War on Demon Star

"All warriors, enter protective pods," commanded Ye Wen.

[Protective Pods Activated. All personnel safely secured.]

"Activate the Ultra Divine Artifact: Gate of Realms."

[Activation complete. Scanning systems... No abnormalities detected. Please proceed, Master.]

"Lock target coordinates: Demon Star."

[Target locked.]

As each command was executed, a faint tension stirred in Ye Wen. While he'd gone through this process several times, this was the first time he'd lead a large contingent across realms.

"Open the Gate of Realms."

[Divine power extraction in progress. Spatial channel constructed. Wishing you a pleasant journey.]

The Gate of Realms, initially a soft golden color, flared to a brilliant white light. Ye Wen felt a moment of weightlessness before realizing he was floating above an entirely new planet: the Demon Star, their target for this expedition a realm of magic and martial prowess. Ye Wen looked coldly at the world below.

"Let this decaying world be reborn."

As Ye Wen's flagship, the Sea King, disappeared from Douluo, a wave of triumphant cheers rose across his homeland. The true tide of a new era had begun.

Though Ye Wen was now hundreds of light years away, he had not severed contact with Douluo. Advanced technology enabled him to maintain near instantaneous communication across interstellar distances. Douluo's countless onlookers watched the broadcast, breathless at the sight of a living foreign world a thing previously confined to fiction.

From the speakers came a mechanical voice:

[Sea King has reached the designated location. Gravity stabilization system activated. Divine power shield now in energy saving mode. Establishing detection barrier. Constructing localized spatial anchor for the target planet.]

This cold, mechanical narration thrilled the audience on Douluo. To many, this technological feat represented the pride of a new era.

[Primary procedures for the expedition have been completed. Awaiting your orders, Master.]

Ye Wen nodded. To him, war was no game, and each soul master was a precious asset that could not be risked due to a commander's oversight. Thus, he had put considerable thought into the basic protection protocols for his forces.

"Open the protective pods," he instructed.

Though Ye Wen's body could withstand the strain of inter realm space, not all his soldiers had the same durability. Therefore, the vessel had a protective shield to safeguard everyone on board.

As the pods opened, the mechanical voice continued:

[Dear soul masters, welcome. The Sea King has arrived at its destination: Demon Star. Please proceed to the main teleport platform.]

Without a word, the soul masters filed into formation, their movements precise and synchronized. Ye Wen nodded approvingly, seeing how the once chaotic armies of Douluo had transformed into a disciplined, modernized force under his command.

"Listen closely. The objective for this expedition was issued to each of you in advance. Do not underestimate this world, and do not let recklessness lead you to an early death. Though there are resurrection benefits available for distinguished service, none of you currently have enough merits from this war to qualify. Be cautious," Ye Wen reminded, knowing that their current resources were insufficient for any restoration if they were to fall here.

He activated a display screen showing an aerial map of their target, the capital of the Keji Empire.

"This is the target: the Imperial City of Keji. Your mission is to seize it immediately. Armor up!"

The soldiers donned red battle armor, each unique in detail, reflecting the individual nature of their divine armor rather than a standard uniform. To emphasize the revolution this war represented, Ye Wen had given all armor a unified red color.

Through exhaustive study, Ye Wen had long understood this planet's systems of power. The Demon Star was a world of both magic and martial arts. In essence, it was a realm of spells and aura, with each path having its own limits and weaknesses.

Magic here was potent but often lacked instant cast abilities, making mages vulnerable in close combat. Aura, on the other hand, was primarily close ranged and rarely incorporated long range attacks. Altogether, both systems had ten ranks, with the highest level granting practitioners flight and proficiency in both magic and martial arts. Comparable to Douluo's Title Douluos in strength, the tenth ranked warriors were formidable indeed. However, Ye Wen and his interstellar warriors had come to bring about an entirely new era.

"Begin the teleportation," he ordered.

A vivid blue magic array shone beneath their feet. A flash of light, and they found themselves hovering over the capital of the Keji Empire.

The soul masters sneered down at the city, an apparent shadow of grandeur, reeking of decay and neglect. Ye Wen floated above them, lifting his hand and gesturing downward.

"According to plan crush them! Show this world our arrival!"
