*Note: Ok, here's another chapter, the image of this chapter in the comments.
Have a good day :)
Okay, I've been practicing with the image-generating AI, and I've even gotten it to generate sex scenes for me. That means I can basically create any image you suggest. I'm considering starting another Patreon, but where I would only upload AI-generated images that people suggest to me. Of course, there won't be censorship, and you can request any scenes you want. Naked Momo? I can do that. Yuri? I don't like it, but I would do it. Akira having sex with someone? I could. Anyway, I could create all kinds of scenes. What do you think? Would you like a Patreon dedicated to that? They wouldn't have to be exclusive images from this fic; they could be from other anime as well. Let me know in the comments.
...
Yami blushed at Akira's words but nodded.
"Yes…" Yami agreed softly.
Seeing Yami's flushed face made Zastin himself blush for a moment, though he quickly regained his composure. Still, he had to admit that his future king's skills with women were extraordinary—he had even managed to win the heart of Konjiki no Yami, now known simply as Yami, despite her infamous reputation across the galaxy as a cold, ruthless assassin without feelings. Zastin didn't know how Akira had done it, but he felt the urge to learn from him.
"I'm glad," Zastin said.
Becoming Akira's concubine was the only way Yami could avoid death at such a young age, so Zastin was relieved that they had become a couple so soon. Otherwise, the king might grow impatient, and worse—if word got out that Konjiki no Yami was living freely on Earth without anyone daring to touch her, it would reflect poorly on the king's authority.
"I'll inform His Majesty at once so he can issue an official proclamation," Zastin said.
"Eh? Is that really necessary?" I asked, confused.
Did this mean there would be an official announcement every time I added a woman to my harem?
"Ahem. I'm afraid I'm obligated to report to His Majesty each time you take a new woman into your harem. The reasons aren't mine to question; I simply follow orders. But don't worry, Akira-sama—there is a reason His Majesty must make it official, just as he did with Lala-sama," Zastin explained.
"And what reason is that?" I asked curiously.
Yami stayed silent during all of this, unsure of what to say. She was never much of a talker in public, only opening up when she was alone with me. Around others, she remained as reserved as ever.
"As a former assassin, Yami-sama's punishment would be death. Cruel as it sounds, many across the galaxy want to see her executed. But if it is made public that Yami-sama has become the concubine of the future king, then no one would dare harm her. It's for her own safety," Zastin explained.
I see… It made sense. After killing so many, of course Yami had enemies who would want her dead. By making our relationship official, Gid would protect her—no one would dare attempt anything foolish, even if they discovered where Yami was now.
"Akira… I think it's for the best too. Many people resent me, and this is the only way to avoid future trouble…" Yami admitted.
She already knew many hated her. If they found out where she lived, they would certainly try to kill her. The safest course was to make her new identity public: as the concubine of the future king. After all, who would dare target her then?
For the nobles, things were different. They didn't hold grudges—at most, they coveted her beauty for their own collections. Some had even hired her services in the past, so she already had a reputation among them. But for common people… it was another story.
Many of those ordinary people had lost loved ones—parents, children, siblings—to Yami's blade. Why wouldn't they hate her? Yes, she was only the executioner, while the nobles who had hired her were the true culprits. But to many, that didn't matter. They only wanted the executioner dead. That was why it was better to make her new status clear: harming a royal concubine meant the death penalty—no trial, no mercy. Any crime against the royal family was punishable by death.
"Then inform him as soon as possible," I said.
If Yami didn't mind, why should I? This would save us endless trouble.
"I will, but first I must deliver this criminal to his rightful place," Zastin said with disgust.
"Are you the one who will execute him?" I asked.
"Unfortunately, that's not my duty. My job is to take him to His Majesty, who will handle the matter personally," Zastin replied.
That meant he would be absent for a few days, like last time.
"By the way—did Kurt give any clue about who hired him?" I asked.
"Oh, he did," Zastin nodded.
"Who was it?" I pressed.
"A noble named Burgus," Zastin answered.
"Burgus was the one who hired me as well," Yami added.
"Yami-sama, I ask that next time you please inform me if you possess such valuable information," Zastin said sternly.
"Sorry… so much happened that I completely forgot," Yami admitted.
It was true. She should have told me, but after everything, it had slipped her mind.
"No matter. Burgus should be under arrest already," Zastin said.
"I see… he deserves it. He's lucky I wasn't the one to kill him," I said darkly.
Anyone who threatened my life—or my family's—deserved nothing less than death.
"Of course, Akira-sama. Rest assured, we'll see to it that this rat confesses who hired him as well," Zastin promised.
"Yes, I know," I nodded.
"Well then, with everything settled, I'll leave at once to deliver him to His Majesty and explain all that's happened," Zastin said.
He boarded his ship, but not before giving us a final bow.
"Good night, Akira-sama, Yami-sama," Zastin said.
And then he departed, his ship soon vanishing into the sky.
"We should head home too," I said.
"All right…" Yami agreed.
Now that she was my woman, it was only natural she live with me. If she had family it would be different, but she was alone. And I couldn't allow her to remain alone now that she was mine.
Transforming back into Jetray, I carried us swiftly home.
"By the way, when Lala asks, let's omit the part about me being dead for a few moments," I suggested.
"Okay," Yami nodded.
She agreed. No need to make Lala suffer unnecessarily.
…
Meanwhile, on Burgus's home planet—
After "interrogating" Kurt, the truth came out. The man who had ordered Akira's assassination was none other than a noble named Burgus, a disgusting man who used his influence to collect women—kidnapping or buying them with his endless wealth.
Though Burgus was vile, he wasn't stupid. He always covered his tracks when abducting or buying girls (since trafficking sentient beings was illegal). The galactic police knew it was him but never found proof. Until now.
This time, whether from his desire to add a royal woman to his collection, his greed for power, or simply his rage, Burgus grew careless. At last, there was proof of one of his crimes—the attempted assassination of the future king, Akira Sato. And since this crime involved the royal family, it fell under the authority of the royal guard, not the galactic police.
Once the paperwork was complete, the royal guard moved directly to Burgus's homeworld. Normally he resided in his massive castle, though sometimes he traveled in his ship to acquire new women. Today, he was at home, indulging in the company of countless women. His happiness ended abruptly when heavily armed soldiers burst into his throne hall unannounced.
"Burgus Von Sarpus, by order of His Majesty, you are under arrest!" declared a man in blue armor, similar to Zastin's but lighter. He had deep blue hair and eyes, wielding an ordinary sword rather than a heavy blade like Zastin's.
"What?! Who are you—and how did you get in here?!" Burgus roared in shock.
His shock grew when he saw Tretos, his captain of the guard, standing by and signaling his men to stand down rather than attack.
"Tretos! What are you doing?! Arrest them at once!" Burgus demanded.
"I'm sorry, my lord, but I cannot," Tretos said firmly.
"What?!" Burgus shouted in disbelief.
"Burgus Von Sarpus, I am Reizor, vice-captain of the Royal Guard of King Deviluke. You are hereby charged with attempting to assassinate the future king, Akira Sato," Reizor declared.
Burgus went pale. He even considered fleeing, but—
"I advise you surrender peacefully. If you do, your death will be less painful," Reizor said coldly.
"Death?! You have no proof of this!" Burgus protested, trembling.
"The assassin you hired, Kurt the Silent, has already confessed. That alone is proof enough. In fact, your sentence has already been decided. His Majesty himself awaits your arrival… to carry it out," Reizor explained.
"No! It's a misunderstanding! I'm being framed! How could a mere noble like me dare to harm the future king?! Someone is trying to incriminate me!" Burgus shouted desperately.
"Your arrest and sentence are not negotiable," Reizor said flatly.
He turned to two of his men. "Take him. Lock him in the ship's cell."
"Yes, sir!" they replied.
The soldiers seized Burgus. He struggled, but they were elite, trained directly under Zastin. He had no chance.
"No, I've been framed! Tretos, help me!" Burgus begged.
"I'm sorry, but I have a family to protect. I won't be arrested with you," Tretos said quietly.
"But you all knew of my crimes and never reported me to the royal guard! You're complicit! Arrest them too!" Burgus screamed.
Even at the edge of death, he remained vile—trying to drag others down with him.
"His Majesty's orders were to arrest only you. As for your guards, His Majesty has deemed them victims of your threats. That is why they never spoke out," Reizor replied coldly.
"It's a lie! They're guilty too! Ahhh, let me go, you bastards!" Burgus raged as they dragged him away without mercy.
"Sir, what of the position of governor? Without leadership, the planet could fall into chaos," Tretos asked.
"His Majesty has already chosen a replacement. But until the new ruler arrives in a month, you are appointed acting governor," Reizor announced.
Tretos was stunned. "I… I'll do my best until then!"
"Good. And see to it that every girl Burgus kidnapped or bought is returned to her home planet with proper compensation. That is His Majesty's command. Am I clear?" Reizor said.
"Yes, absolutely! I will carry out His Majesty's orders at once!" Tretos swore.
