Chapter 13 - Chapter 12 Leviathon

It had been far too long since Wayne had heard from Drew. It drew out a level of irritation that was dangerous. He might kill him the next time he found him. Either way he needed to get out of the orphanage and take action himself. Otherwise Drisel was sure to be breathing down his neck about the lack of progress he made.

Wayne had made contact with eight others like himself to start their venture. They agreed to meet up in Ohio before the newly married couple got back from their honeymoon. He hadn't the faintest idea how Drew had failed so miserably with the amount of doubt that was in the woman. She should have been an easy kill. As for Jack, he would have to deal with in a different manner. Given that he no longer had the chip, it would be nothing but hope that he didn't use his abilities.

Wayne spit to the side. Hope. The last thing he wanted to rely on was hope. Something so frail, but so powerful. The weak used hope. That's why he had accepted the demons invitation. He refused to be weak, and was willing to destroy all that had more power than he. Very few did. Besides the master and his "princes" as he called them. The full embodiment of a true demon. A demon that fell with the master, not one that he had created after The Fall. Not one of them had been seen for a long time though. Last his demon remembered was in the Dark Ages.

With any luck that's what they would bring upon them this time. A new Dark Age to remember what they should be afraid of and break their frail hope. The world would fall to their knees and beg the master to spare them and become subjects like they were. He wouldn't hear it though. He would kill them all with a mighty blow!

Wayne pulled his mind from his thoughts. He focused on the meeting place he arranged in Ohio. An old abandoned building in Bangs. With a burst of black smoke he reappeared in the building.

Using the hive like mind that they had access to through their demons, he contacted the others. Almost as soon as he ceased connection they appeared before him. There was now six of them altogether. Wayne was the first to speak. "It's been some time since we've seen each other. Under any other circumstance I wouldn't have called you away from your missions. Unfortunately Jack has lost his chip due to a head injury and Drew failed to follow through with his mission Kristy. The demons believe that they're both aware of their power. When witnessed at the airport they fled from the couple. Their light was too bright for them to handle. Not even the High One's most devote follower has been able to produce something like the light they have since the High One's Son walked the Earth."

It's not that he as a person couldn't say the name of Jesus or God, but one thing was for sure. The demon inside of him didn't like it at all and threatened to leave him if he ever said His name. Not like the demon would have a choice, but the threat came with a promise to never return to him and give him the power he was so addicted to.

Renee was the next to speak. "Kristy was one of the four we almost had turned. How did she manage to make a full recovery? Let alone an improvement with the light that's inside."

Annoyed that he was repeating himself Wayne spoke slowly. "As I said Drew never reported in. The only reason why I know that Kristy is even still alive is because of the demons that seen her."

She rolled her eyes clearly not happy with the lack of knowledge. In fact none of them were. It was the first time that they had ever lost one of the Mountain Movers. This was uncharted waters and unless they got a handle on it and avoided being at each other's throats, this was all doomed.

Rick cleared his throat to be dramatic. "So what is the plan then? It's not like we can kill them. Sure we can fight them and hurt them, but that's all we can do."

Wayne felt a tingle in the back of his head. A plan began to form. They could hurt them. Beat them within an inch of their life. They would do it over and over again. Make them beg to be done. When no help ever came, they would lose faith in their God and they could kill them then.

He smiled wide and introduced his plan to the others. "We would have to drug them. Otherwise, they'd be able to use their abilities against us. The first drug we use will have to be fast acting and cause them to go unconscious. Once we get them here, we will inject them regularly with hallucinogens to fight the demons in their head instead of us. They won't be able to determine what's reality. It worked when they were kids to a lot of them. It may not have worked on them then, but it could work now that they are older."

When no interjections were given, "You're dismissed. Go get the supplies ready for the mission. It will be all hands-on deck. Alec, Jonah, and Eric you'll stay here and get this place ready for our guests. Take a room and cover all the windows. Make it pitch black and leave two chairs in there. Get chains, rope, and duct tape.

"Rick, Renee, and I will go collect the drugs needed. We will regroup tomorrow when everything is done. Do not delay this. We know they will be home soon, but we don't know what they're planning as of yet."

Wayne vanished before getting any sort of response from any of them. They could always get ahold of him though they wouldn't. Though demons usually seem to swarm together when they're outside a human host they tended to keep to themselves, picking up on the individualism.

He recalled the story of the bible when a legion of demons had entered one man. What it would be like to have that much power? Wayne shuddered at the thought. The demons dared not do it again after what happened to the others. Now they stuck with staying just one demon per human to stay on the down low. They couldn't risk that much attention. Not yet anyways.

Wayne got the drugs needed. Hopefully the others would get enough to last them what it would take to break Jack and Kristy. He walked back into the old building, taking in and shuddering at the eeriness of it. He froze halfway through the door when he felt an unfamiliar dark presence. It was odd. He had only been in the presence of the master once and it was enough to bring him to his knees. Feeling this presence made him uneasy, because though it wasn't his master, it was a palpable presence. Where was it coming from? Looking around now aware he couldn't seem to figure out where it was.

"Kneel."

The voice came from behind him. There was no doubt every ounce of authority in the voice. A voice that said, disobey and you'd wish that the only thing that would happen to you was dismemberment. He only hesitated for a minute before obeying the command. It wasn't entirely him that did it, but the demon within. It knew who was commanding it, but didn't care to share the information of what.

The demon Leviathon walked around to the front of him. He was in human form. He was tall. His body resembled that of a professional football player. Only had a little stubble on his face to give it a rougher look. He felt an odd attraction for the thing. A longing. But that's how it worked wasn't it? The demon of Envy could bring that out of you in any way it seemed fit. Wayne's pulse quickened as he wondered what one of the demon princes could possibly be doing here.

As if reading his thoughts, which was likely, it spoke. "I'm here to oversee how you do in the next coming days. Pretend I'm not here and tell the others nothing of me. For now I grant you a gift. Not a reward, but a tool to help you achieve the mission our master has tasked you with."

Wayne dared not look at the beast or speak without giving permission. That's how it worked. Leviathon pulled out a purple orb the size of his hand. It wasn't solid or liquid entirely. "Gaze into it. Then when you see what it is I give, take the orb and accept it."

He did as he was told and stared into the purple orb. Ten demons swarmed inside the orb. Wayne licked his lips and allowed anticipation wash over him. As he reached out his hand took the orb. He felt a rush of dark energy rush into him as another ten voices whispered questions of consent to be one with him in his body and spirit. Giving consent he felt the surge of power deepen within him. His mind felt distant. Murmurs rang through his head. Slowly he felt disconnected from his identity. Animalistic feelings replaced trained thought. Hardly human anymore his mind knew one thing. Wayne was gone and he was now ruled directly by Leviathon. Leviathon commanded his will and thoughts.
