The sudden attack caught Suien and the others off guard; their attention had been completely focused on the Hero Water. As they reacted, the smoke bombs exploded, releasing a thick fog that engulfed the entire tree hole.
"Enemy attack! Be careful!" Suien's face paled as he roared, quickly turning towards the Hero Water. This was Takigakure's most powerful secret weapon; a single sip could increase one's chakra by tens of times. Obtaining it would make him invincible in the shinobi world.
"Let's go!" Kakashi paid him no mind; his objective was to rescue Uchiha Itachi, and Shibuki was the key.
However, as Kakashi approached, a flurry of whistling sounds pierced the air. Through the thick smoke, it felt as though unseen eyes had locked onto his position.
"Be careful, their leader isn't an ordinary shinobi," Shibuki warned urgently. He didn't know the rescuers' origins, but this was an opportunity. A moment's carelessness could lead to their defeat, a scenario he desperately wanted to avoid.

Another whistling sound, and a figure appeared before Kakashi. Crimson eyes spun as hands moved rapidly, forming seals.

"Three, five, and seven o'clock, east side!" Rin's voice cut through the air.
Lightning crackled around Kakashi's hands as he locked onto his targets. His agile body, enhanced by the lightning, shot forward like an arrow. The short distance was covered in an instant; before his opponents could react, he pierced the heart of one of Suien's subordinates.
One down! Kakashi moved again, guided by Rin's precise sensory jutsu. Though lacking the Sharingan's assistance, his mastery of taijutsu, experience, and combat skills more than compensated.
Pshhh!
Lightning flashed with each strike, Rin's voice acting as a radar, pinpointing the enemy's positions.
Two down! Hot blood splattered Kakashi's face. As he spun, a wave of death washed over him.
The sudden attack made Kakashi tense. He knew he couldn't kill them all, but being countered so quickly after taking down two was unexpected. A powerful opponent was among them.
"Mysterious Peacock Method: Suffocation!"
Blades of light shot from all directions, closing in like a spider's web, ensnaring even the ninja before Kakashi. It was a clear attempt to eliminate Kakashi instantly, even sacrificing their own comrades.
This was a trap! They had known Kakashi was there from the beginning, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. They sacrificed two comrades to lure Kakashi into the heart of the formation, widening the net before closing it.
Faced with this deadly attack, Kakashi had nowhere to retreat. However, the anxiety that flashed across his face quickly gave way to calm. He dispelled the lightning around him, producing and detonating a scroll.
Bang!
White mist enveloped Kakashi. Akahoshi's face twisted into a cruel smile. "Kid, you can't escape. I've known you were here."
"My Mysterious Peacock Method will kill you!"
His laughter echoed through the tree hole. The attack exploded, scattering light as the number of spears increased from a dozen to over a hundred. The encirclement tightened.
"Ka!" Rin's expression changed, but Obito stopped her.
"Don't forget, he's also Kai's student."
"Who says I'm running?" Kakashi's voice echoed, followed by the crackling of lightning.
In an instant, his lightning-wreathed figure shot forward like a streak of light.
Konoha Style: Dance of the Crescent Moon!
Lightning spun like a wheel, tearing through space. The light spears shattered like paper. He tore a huge hole in the encirclement and burst through.
But even as he broke free, his relentless attack continued. The ten-meter distance was covered in a blink of an eye, and he appeared before Akahoshi.
The lightning-wreathed blades made Akahoshi's pupils constrict. Without hesitation, he pulled two of his subordinates in front of him.
"Akahoshi-sama!" the two Kusa ninjas cried out in terror.
But before they could defend themselves, Kakashi's lightning-fast blades struck.
Pshhh!
Hot blood sprayed as their heads flew. Akahoshi used this opportunity.
"Mysterious Peacock Method: Tiger and Leopard Strike!"
A deafening roar echoed. Light-formed tigers and leopards, instantly formed, burst through the corpses and charged at Kakashi.
Kakashi's expression changed, but he quickly raised his blades, gathering immense lightning into a sphere.
Bang!
The sphere and the tigers and leopards collided in a massive explosion that sent a shockwave outwards.
Using the opportunity, Kakashi landed beside Obito and Rin. The mist had cleared, revealing the devastated battlefield and a battered Akahoshi.
"Three teenagers?" Shibuki's expression changed as he saw the scene. He knew exactly how strong Akahoshi, the acting Kage of Hoshigakure, was.
