For the first time since I have known him, Xander was still asleep when I woke up. Feeling oddly refreshed after not having any hint of nightmares during the night, I stretched out my limbs before getting out of bed.
I came to the realization that he must still be tired out from the Alpha-Beta ceremony which caused me to disregard the possibility of him coming down with a fever or a cold.
Despite still being down from last night, I was ready to start my day which included going to the country club. As much as I wasn't looking forward to seeing Annika fondle with my mother's necklace around her neck as if she owned it, I was looking forward to meeting the others.
