Overwhelmed by the feeling of happiness, I threw myself at him in gratitude not believing he sent his men to help me get my mother's locket. Pulling away from the hug, I re-examined the locket to make sure it was really here in my hands, that I was really holding it.
Once that had been confirmed, I looked at him. "Thank you so much! You have no idea how much this locket means to me." Knowing it was too risky to put on, I dropped it back on my dressing table.
On the verge of turning away from him, I catch sight of his arm. I took a step closer, frowning at the wound but the herb on it was still fresh meaning he had paid a visit to Hilda. Speaking of her, a part of me does miss her dearly and as much as I miss her, it was better to keep her at arms length.
