Chapter 75 - A Hospital And A Night's Meeting

"I don't want anyone to die,"

Natsuki was a normal child raised in a normal household. There was nothing extraordinary about her. Nicole's grades were good, she was decent at sports, and she had a good friend circle as well.

In a world with extraordinary people who grow powerful day by day, she thought she was the only ordinary person. Yet, she did not care as she had a dream that she would do anything to achieve.

The dream to be a doctor. To feel someone take blessings from her because she saved a loved one. To see the tears of joy as she saved someone. She would throw her life away for that feeling.

Other people are always more important than her. Other things were always more important than her feelings. Other people are going through worse times than what she was going through.

Women her age were partying, falling in love, and enjoying their lives to the fullest. After all this was their youth. It would never come back again.

She got her first job as a nurse in the Knight James Clinic in Uptown Akuza right next to the popular S-Mart. She studied as a surgeon and a consultant for soul related problems and she was a rookie therefore she was working there to gain experience.

Every single day in those beginning weeks was heaven for her. The job she worked so hard to gain, she finally got. So what now? Natsuki already had planned on what to do from here.

She would gain experience and get a reputation and then she would start her own clinic somewhere near her home in Downtown therefore it would be closer to homes and more people could flock to her and she could get more reputation with the amount of people that came to her.

Then one day, a family of seven ran to the clinic where Nicole worked. She rushed outside and informed the Head Doctor, Norman Mercy. The family of seven was carrying a mature girl who looked to be in her thirties as her husband or lover was clearly panicking. From the bump on her stomach it was obvious that she was pregnant.

Natsuki was not a professional or a master and it was not her area of interest when it came to reproductionary science. Yet that day since it was late night many of the nurses and doctors had already left meaning that Nicole had no choice but to go to the emergency room for this procedure.

The clinic where Natsuki worked was a very neat clinic with metal chairs laid out near the entrance as to the north of the entrance there was the receptionist and in front of the receptionist the chairs were laid out. Then to the west of the entrance there was a miniature snack shop and to the east where all rooms that were labeled and were in order. The furthest room to the north-east was the Emergency Room.

They all rushed the woman, who was screaming in pain, as the family of the woman stayed behind outside the Emergency Room in anticipation and worry of what was going to happen.

Inside the Emergency Room all the tools were organised as they laid the woman on the white bed and started to help push the baby out. Soon, they ran into a problem: the baby has enough soul energy to exist and be alive but the mother does not have enough energy to push the baby out, meaning it will result in her death.

"What if I used my ability to rejuvenate her Soul Well? Shouldn't that give us more time to figure out what to do?" asked Natsuki.

"Yes…But you're a rookie we don't know what will happen if you mess up," said Norman Mercy.

"Either she dies right now and the baby has a chance of dying or one lives and the other dies. Why not gamble for a chance to save both?" asked Natsuki.

All the other doctors were silent as they pondered about this topic. Eventually they decided to agree to Natsuki's plan.

"Sorcery of the Soul of a Doctor:- Rejuvenation to the Soul!" said Natsuki.

A bright yellow light appeared from Natsuki's palm as she forwarded it to the woman's soul and the baby. The plan should have worked. At the beginning it did.

Then…Nicole panicked and did not know how to turn off the input of soul energy draining from her and going to the mother.

All the doctors shook Nicole as she stood there being unresponsive and even tried moving but she could not. As if there was some existence in that stomach that had so much aura it was stopping her from moving. Almost not giving the permission for her to move.

Soon everyone felt the aura as everyone inside the Emergency and outside the Emergency froze.

A second passed. Very slowly like a turtle tip toeing.

Then everything turned blank as Nicole's vision started to blur and multiple rocks hit her on the head as she fell down and slowly started to close her eyes.

"It's cold!" thought Natsuki.

She woke up to the surprise of cold water being splashed on her face as she realised where she was now. It was a room with a bed, table, washroom, and even television.

"Where am I?" asked Natsuki.

The other man in the room with hazelnut brown eyes, black silky hair, and a good physique started to open his mouth.

"You were in so much trouble…And you got me into so much trouble Natsuki Himena," said Chiro Zanami rubbing his temples.

"What do you mean…What happened to the baby?" asked Natsuki slowly getting up, her vision a bit dizzy.

"The baby mutated and became corrupted and became a monster that I had to deal with. The mother just exploded like a bomb inside a bag. Everyone in the hospital died as well," said Chiro.

Natsuki's eyes widened as her vision became much more clearer. She held her mouth as she wanted to vomit and she started to break down in tears.

Chiro did not say anything, instead he let her get all her dormant feelings out for a good three minutes. Using Virgo Analyst he already did a full background check on her to find out that she was an innocent woman.

"You probably won't get a job anywhere now due to this incident but…You can be a doctor for the Dark Mixed Military Squad!" said Chiro.

"What's that?" asked Natsuki with her tears being wiped away by a napkin.

Tensei and Haruki both barged into the room as Tensei stood uninterested and Haruki stood with his eyes sparkling and gleaming in excitement.

"Do you know how to cook!" asked Haruki to Natsuki as he gave Chiro a look of disgust.

"Yes…A little bit," said Natsuki.

"That was so rude of you Haruki. Please wait, don't jump into conversations like that," scolded Chiro.

"Is that your son?" asked Natsuki.

"Nope, his mother and father are my close friends and when I realised their son is a prodigy I had to take him in! Don't worry this is all with consent!" said Chiro looking at Haruki.

"Your cooking sucks, never enter the kitchen again!" said Haruki.

Tensei was silent saying nothing and he just stood there.

"This is our other member! He's a bit grumpy but he's sweet on the inside," said Chiro.

Natsuki wanted to cry again. It's because a lot of people died and still…Chiro and these kids wanted to give her a chance of redemption. She knew this opportunity could not be taken down and after working hard she became one of the best doctors in Akuza and one of the most reputed in Lukia.

In the City of Akuza, April 17th, 2024

Nicole was sitting on top of a roof as she was smoking her cigarette. The smoke slowly floated up as it mixed with the luminescent moon in the sky.

The alley below her was scattered with bodies lying as they were hit with her specialised metal bat. This bat was different from the bat filled with spikes that she bought in the Black Market recently. The giant trashbin, wide enough to fit five humans and long enough to fit two humans toppled over.

"Guess I went a bit too far with taking these thugs out…Police are basically only useful for basic street level thugs and not big gangs like the Skull Gang or the Akuza gang. The Red Samurai and the Knight Ninja are something however…First month in the history of Akuza without any violent crime," thought Nicole as she blew smoke out.

"Smoking is bad for health," said a man standing on the chimney of the roof of the house.

The moonlight reflected off the man's shiny silver armor revealing a blue and white slim set that was a contrast to the Red Samurai's red and black bulky armor. Hearing the man's voice and looking at him she ignored the advice and continued smoking.

"I believe we never met, have we? I am the Knight Ninja…And I believe we need to speak, Nicole Albaria," said the Knight Ninja.

"Heard of you and not interested," replied Nicole.
