I sat impatiently at the backseat of the car while the cars slowly nosed their way through the streets, towards home. I just couldn't wait to get home to relieve myself of the exhaustion I felt.
Work at the office had been nothing but stressful since Louis became a member of the firm. Accounts, cheques and files were double-checked to prevent mismanagement of funds and so far we've gotten nothing even though I can feel it in my guts that Louis is up to something fishy.
Just last week, Idris had sent me a file which contained transactions of the previous week, and although the file was familiar, the figures weren't. After a thorough scrutiny, I had to let it go. Maybe my distrust for Louis was making me suspicious of him. Although I may be right to suspect him, I sincerely hoped I was wrong.
