He must be in the bathroom cleaning up, I thought, and headed for the bathroom while all three kids stood, watching me with eyes that shone with expectations.
The bathroom was empty, and so was the toilet but I could tell that Leonard had been in here, and had had a hasty bath. I could tell from Leonard's hair products which were not in their correct order. Leonard wouldn't touch any of them if he didn't take his bath, and he would have taken his time to arrange them if he was not in haste. But why was he in haste, and why did he take his bath? He is supposed to be sick.
I left the bathroom, and headed for the closet, walking past the children who haven't moved an inch from the spot where I had left them.
