Chapter 618 - Chapter 618: The Mighty Kanna!

Chapter 618: The Mighty Kanna!

Queen's aura surged again, thicker and heavier than before.

Even his breath spilled out as white mist.

"Everyone, back off," Jack barked at his men. "Queen's about to get serious."

"If you get caught in his range when he swings, you'll die before you even understand why."

Jack did not say it out of kindness. Cannon fodder was still fodder meant for the enemy, not for Queen to crush by accident.

The Beasts Pirates, including the older brothers, scrambled to retreat at once.

After his transformation stabilized, strange bone spurs pushed out along Queen's body.

Each spur gleamed with a domineering purple gold aura, sharp enough to make the air feel hostile.

If someone took a hit from that, the damage would be ugly.

Queen thought the same.

Being tossed aside like trash by a woman was not just humiliation.

It was humiliation with an echo, the kind that rings in your skull and makes you want to bite through iron.

"This is getting interesting," Kanna said, amused.

"They've got extremely rare earth dragon genes in their bodies, and they still dare to swagger around like this?"

Her gaze sharpened.

"Fine."

"Let me show you what a real dragon looks like."

"You lowly creatures. Kobayashi wouldn't even spare you a second glance."

Kanna glanced back over her shoulder, not forgetting to include the spectator.

"Right, Kobayashi?"

Kobayashi crunched a chip and answered calmly.

"I'll still watch."

"I'm interested too. I want to see how you beat this guy right in front of me."

Connor's eyes were shining beside her, eager to jump in.

If Kanna did not erase the enemy perfectly, Tohru was ready to interfere.

Kanna smiled like she had already won.

"Knew it."

"Then watch closely."

"Let me show you what a real dragon is!"

The moment Thor finished speaking, her body changed.

Not like Kaido or Momonosuke, whose Devil Fruit power simply altered their form and wrapped it in a different kind of energy.

Kanna was different.

Kanna was a dragon.

Her human form had only ever been a shape she maintained so she could live beside Kobayashi more easily.

Now that shape peeled away.

A massive flying dragon filled the air.

"A flying dragon?!"

Queen, charging toward her, froze in place.

Shock hit first.

Then came suppression, deeper and heavier, like his bloodline itself was being pressed into the ground.

And then, behind the shock, a despair so pure it made his muscles lock.

Kanna's voice rumbled with contempt.

"You lowly fool. Don't ever act like a dragon in front of dragons again."

"Because you don't deserve it."

She opened her mouth wide.

A terrifying shockwave erupted in an instant.

After Queen transformed, his body had become larger, making him an obvious target.

With him frozen in place, it was almost unfair.

The beam swallowed him whole.

When the light finally dispersed, Queen had already reverted to human form, collapsed on the ground, unconscious.

If Kobayashi had not said he could not be killed yet, Queen would already be a corpse.

Even if Kaido came here, he would not dare claim he could casually trade blows with Kanna.

Not to mention Queen.

In the distance, the remaining Beasts Pirates swallowed hard.

They saw it.

Even so, their minds rejected it.

In their hearts, Queen was supposed to be mighty.

And yet he had fallen like that.

One move.

Even after all the modifications, even with his enhanced body, he still could not survive a single exchange.

"Sigh. Still too weak," Kanna said, sounding disappointed.

She turned her gaze to the rest of the pirates.

"You lot, come at me together."

Then she pointed toward a towering figure.

"And you, that elephant over there."

"Come here."

"You'll be Kobayashi's mount."

Jack's eyes widened.

"A mount?!"

He roared, fury boiling up instantly.

"Are you joking with me?!"

"I'm Jack! Jack the Disaster!"

"Hold your head high!"

His body swelled as he transformed into an ancient mammoth, massive and brutal.

His ivory tusks curved like spears, promising pure destruction.

Even his colleagues looked expensive.

There was a reason people said Jack's bounty was mainly worth those teeth.

Kanna's eyes lit up.

"Still want to resist?"

"That works too. It won't be boring, then."

She charged forward again.

Even dressed like a maid, Kanna's combat ability did not drop in the slightest.

Soon, pirate after pirate was beaten into the ground.

Bodies piled. Groans filled the air.

The battlefield was quiet again.

Kanna returned to Kobayashi's side, bright and proud.

"Kobayashi, mission accomplished!"

Tohru stood nearby, pouting hard.

She had thought she would finally get a chance to shine.

Now there was nothing left for her but air and disappointment.

Kobayashi calmly put away her chips.

"I already contacted the captain."

"The captain told us to stay here and keep watch."

"If anyone else shows up and tries to cause trouble, kill them all."

Her tone was so flat it almost sounded bored.

This was not the life Kobayashi wanted at all.

Why had she become an ordinary person in the first place?

Now she was being dragged into trouble again, as if fate had decided she was not allowed peace.

"Uh huh…"

Kanna was just about to sit down and rest when her eyes narrowed.

Her expression changed.

"Who's there?"

A powerful aura had entered her senses.

Along with it came a faint but unmistakable sense of threat.

Tohru, standing beside her, also turned, fierce in spite of her adorable face.

A man stepped out slowly from among the bodies, calm as if he were walking through a garden.

"It was discovered that quickly?"

He smiled.

"As expected. You really are members of the Fifth Division of the Dragon Hunter Pirates."

"Even if I don't know when you became the Fifth Division, I need your help now."

Behind him followed a beautiful woman, silent and cold.

Kobayashi's face sank.

"The former leader of the World Government, Roy."

"And the Uranus, Imu."

Neither of them were easy prey.

Their presence here meant the other Guardians had already gone after Ryuunosuke.

Kobayashi understood instantly.

She had to deal with these two first, or nothing else mattered.

"Why…"

She stood up, brushed dust from her clothes, and sighed like someone who had just been handed more chores.

"This is really troublesome."

She lifted her head toward Roy.

"Can't you all just shut up for a bit?"

As she spoke, her expression shifted.

The cute innocence drained away.

In one eye, her pupil sharpened into a vertical cyan slit.

In the other, a bright red pupil flared like a lit ember.

A terrifying aura poured out of Kobayashi, spreading across the ground like an invisible storm.
