Ryuji was at a loss, and Tanjiro looked at him with utter confusion. "Ryuji-senpai, what exactly did you say to Kanao?" Tanjiro asked again,
Ryuji was at a loss, and Tanjiro looked at him with utter confusion.
"Ryuji-senpai, what exactly did you say to Kanao?" Tanjiro asked again, perplexed.
"Tanjiro, shouldn't I be asking you that? What did you say to Kanao? You wouldn't have done anything to make her unable to forget you, would you? Looks like you're attracting a lot of attention! Not only Aoi Kanzaki, but now Kanao too."
Ryuji, perceptive as always, realized Kanao's apparent affection for Tanjiro. He hadn't expected Tanjiro to be so popular!
Hearing Ryuji and seeing Kanao's firm grip, Tanjiro felt he couldn't escape this situation even if he jumped into the Yellow River.
"No way, Ryuji-senpai! That's impossible! Don't you trust my character?! Zenitsu is the only one who'd likely do something like that, harassing a girl!" Tanjiro vehemently denied.
Zenitsu, who was on a mission, sneezed violently upon hearing Tanjiro's words.
Ryuji didn't entirely agree. While Zenitsu liked beautiful women, he wasn't someone without scruples.
"Wait a minute, Ryuji-senpai, how are you dating Shinobu-sama? I didn't even know!" Tanjiro suddenly seized on Kanao's shocking revelation, turning the focus onto Ryuji.
Seeing Tanjiro's attempt to shift the focus, Ryuji could only chuckle wryly. "That's private; whether you know or not doesn't affect you."
"You should deal with your own problem first! She likes you!"
Ryuji said, glancing at Kanao.
Tanjiro looked at Kanao, who still held him tightly. He'd never been liked by a girl before and didn't know how to react—should he accept or reject her feelings?
Kanao stared intently at Tanjiro, her grip unwavering.
Seeing Tanjiro's inaction, Ryuji gave him a shove. "What are you standing there for? Hug her! Show her half the affection you show Nezuko!"
Despite the shove, Tanjiro hesitated, saying to Ryuji somewhat embarrassedly, "That's not right, is it?"
"Tanjiro, making a mistake isn't terrible; what's terrible is refusing to take responsibility," Ryuji continued, advising Tanjiro.
Tanjiro cried out in despair, "Ryuji-senpai, but I really didn't do anything wrong! I don't know why Kanao is like this!"
At that moment, Kanao pressed the coin into Tanjiro's hand.
Tanjiro looked at the coin. "Are you asking me to flip this coin to decide whether I should like you?"
Kanao shook her head. Ryuji interjected, "It's probably a token of affection!"
"Ryuji-senpai, please stop interfering!" Tanjiro pleaded, exasperated.
Ryuji, not being directly involved, didn't know the specifics of their relationship and couldn't understand the significance of the coin, only guessing it was a token of affection.
Tanjiro stared at the coin, remembering Kanao's habit of using coins to make decisions. Could this coin represent Kanao's heart?
