Chapter 226 - 226 A Little Accident

Who was the calmest person right now?

It was definitely Kronos, the captain himself.

Kronos even yawned lazily, feeling a little sleepy, and couldn't help but complain.

"Honestly... why is this happening now? I really can't get any sleep."

Then, he noticed the trainee crew members struggling in the distance to maintain their footing. Overjoyed, he chuckled and said:

"Looks like you haven't mastered your basic skills yet. You're still a long way from becoming full-time crew members."

Hearing this, the trainee crew members were immediately filled with fighting spirit, determined to hold on and overcome the challenge.

Surprisingly, the massive wave only lasted for a few minutes before fading.

Perhaps Pain and the others had gone too far in controlling the situation, bringing the once-in-a-decade storm to an abrupt end.

After all, some crew members had slashed apart the waves with sword energy, others had dispersed the thunder in the sky, and some had even used magic to evaporate the sea water on the spot.

This series of excessive countermeasures had undoubtedly sped up the disappearance of the waves.

As for the Angel of Redemption ship—it was completely unharmed.

However, there was one small complication Kronos hadn't anticipated.

Due to the massive waves…

Their course had drifted slightly off track.

Ji Guoyuan Yi reported helplessly:

"This couldn't be helped. Given the situation back there, it's honestly impressive that the ship made it through unscathed."

Kronos didn't take it to heart. He laughed:

"So what if we're delayed a few hours? No big deal. I've got plenty of time anyway."

However, Albedo looked a little concerned. She frowned and said:

"I'm worried that this delay might give Whitebeard more time to prepare reinforcements against us."

"If that happens, it could turn into a pointless waste of time."

It wasn't that Albedo doubted the Kamui Pirates' strength. She simply viewed any unnecessary delays as inefficient.

To her, Kronos was practically a god, and she wanted everything to proceed perfectly under his command.

For her, the best scenario was for every event to follow their precise plan.

Because of this attitude, Albedo often served as the ship's strategist, prioritizing Kronos' interests above all else.

Any failure or setback felt like her own personal failure to protect her captain's authority.

Then, Uchiha Madara, as arrogant as ever, scoffed coldly:

"Whitebeard? He's nothing but an antique from a bygone era."

"Let him gather as many troops as he wants!"

"That way, I'll have more to kill. I'm actually worried he'll turn coward and flee before I get to fight."

If anyone else had spoken about Whitebeard like that…

People would've assumed they were insane.

To look down on Whitebeard, of all people?

That was nothing short of suicidal.

After all, Edward Newgate, known as Whitebeard, wasn't just any pirate.

He was recognized as "The Strongest Man in the World."

And that title wasn't just for show.

Many legendary figures had left their marks on the seas—heroes whose names were remembered—but most of them had died young.

Only those with overwhelming strength, like Whitebeard, could live to the end.
