Chapter 83 - Live a Little Softer

Alaric joining her for lunch isn't a one-time event. He starts showing up most days. It doesn't matter if she's eating in the sitting room she now frequents or has enough strength to make it to the dining room, Alaric appears. Usually, he shows up around the time that food is being served, and there's always a portion for him without fail. That's how she knows that the servants are aware of this new meal arrangement even before Lenore herself. Not that anybody had to tell her that this is part of her routine from now on. It's not as though she was going to try to interfere with Alaric's decision to spend more time with her in the few ways he can as a duke with an entire duchy to manage.
