Once inside and seeing Summer Sutton's still flushed face, Adrian Walyon paused.
Adrian was quite curious about what Summer Sutton was just thinking.
He pulled her close and settled her on his lap, gently tidying the hair by her cheek, his voice low, "Sweetheart, what were you just thinking about?"
The truth was, Summer's face was red purely out of boredom with him; she'd puffed it up under a pillow.
Shaking her head was because hair was blocking her face, it felt a bit itchy, and she was too lazy to lift her hand to fix it.
She wasn't aware of the misunderstanding her actions had caused Adrian.
Staring at him blankly, she blurted out, "Thinking why you're not coming in yet."
This was only an offhand comment to appease him.
But to Adrian, it was more intoxicating than drinking a whole vat of wine.
Adrian was especially fond of her tonight, lowering his face to gently kiss her lips, he teased, "Can't wait any longer?"
