The next second Daniel turned her hand. He knitted his brows when he noticed the scratches and wounds on her palm.
This brought Emma embarrassment, and she tried to pull her hand back. But she remained helpless against Daniel's strength. Her teeth bit down on her lower lip, wishing the ground could swallow her now.
"You need to get it disinfected and bandaged," Daniel voiced out.
"Did Emma get hurt?" Lucy's voice came from behind, and Emma stiffened.
"She scratched herself," Daniel answered, "I will take her to see the doctor."
With that, Emma was out of the door, following Daniel. Once they were out of the room, Daniel released her hand, and she took a step back defensively.
"Did you hurt yourself?" Daniel asked. His eyes held an indescribable mix of emotions, his jaw tightening.
Daniel was angry.
"This has nothing to do with you," Emma coldly uttered, "it is not like you to butt into others' business."
