Today was the day everyone had been waiting for. It was finally Valentine's day. All the students came to school. They would have to go through classes as usual, then when it is time to go home they would go home and come back later fir the evening party. Everyone was checking the time every single minute. It was finally time to go home and wait for the evening party. .
Ezzy went home. She laid down on her bed and took a quick nap. The party wasn't starting until 9 pm. At around 7 pm Ezzy woke up from her nap. She came downstairs and padded barefooted into the kitchen. Their Cook Aubree was busy stirring up something that had a pleasant aroma.
" What are you cooking?" Ezzy asked
" Squitopus soup " Aubree answered.
" Squitopus?"
" Squid and octopus"
" Oooh." Ezzy said dipping her finger into the boiling soup. Aubree used to cooking spoon to whack her hand.
" Hey "
" You have to wait until the soup is ready "
" But I can't wait " Ezzy whined.
Aubree brought out a soup bowl. She dished a little soup into the bowl and handed it over to Ezzy. Ezzy picked a spoon. Resting on the wall, she slurped happily on the soup.
" Somethings never change around here " Aubree mumbled.
" What was that, Aubree?"
" Nothing "
Ezzy drank the soup quickly. She went back to her room. Ria had sent her message.
Hi Ezzy, sup?
Nothing much
I have a new dress I haven't worn. I'm gonna wear it to the party.

Of course I am. The dress is so beautiful and sexy. Andre's gonna love it.

Ezzy turned off her phone. She needed to get ready. Vaelor would be coming fir her at anytime. She went into the bathroom. Her bath was longer today. She came out of the bathroom and walked to her wardrobe. Her mom had personally prepared a gown for her. It was the first time Ezzy was going out with a guy and her mom couldn't help but feel excited.
Ezzy put on her dress. A was a long tight fitted ankle length black gown. It was sleeveless and was cut low to her cleavage. She wore a pair of silver heels, picked up a black bag. She brushed her hair and curled it a little at the tip. She applied very light makeup at her mother's insistence and sat patiently waiting for Vaelor.
As if he knew she was ready, Vaelor's car pulled over in front of their house. He hooted the car horn. Ezzy picked her mirror phone, bid her mom goodbye and went out of the house. Vaelor was leaning on his car looking as handsome as ever. He was wearing a black shirt unbuttoned to his chest and a pair of slim trousers. He was holding a large bouquet of red roses and a huge box of chocolates.
" Good evening my lady " He said opening the door for Ezzy. " I must say that you look very beautiful today "
" Good evening, Vaelor. Thanks " Ezzy replied, collecting the things from him.
Vaelor shut the car door and went over to the driver's seat. He turned on the car and reversed out of Ezzy's driveway. It took them ten minutes to get to school. When they arrived, the school's parking lot was filled with cars of different sorts. Ezzy recognized all her friends cars.She sighted the seven of them standing in front of the school gate. Sirena, Cedric and Dravan were also standing with them. They were all looking so gorgeous and handsome. Vaelor helped Ezzy out of the car, offering her his arm for support.
" I didn't expect you to be a gentleman, Vaelor. " Ezzy teased.
" What can I say? It's my hidden talent " Vaelor replied shrugging.
" Hi guys " Ezzy said
" Hey gurl " Ria said.
" You guys look so stunning " Ezzy said.
Mona, Oleta, Ria and Sirena were all wearing above the knee dresses with very low cut cleavages. The boys were all dressed in black shirts and black slim trousers.
" You also look wonderful, Ezzy " Estevan said
" I love your hair " Sirena said smiling.
" Thanks "
As they were talking more students began to arrive. They all moved into the school auditorium. The party started at exactly 9 pm. They sat at a table with twelve seats. Soft music was playing in the background.
Ezzy stood up to get herself a drink.
" Where are you going?" Ria asked.
" To get myself a drink " Ezzy replied.
" Get for us too " Andre said.
" Okay. What would you guys like "
" Wine. Red, purple and white wine, champagne and a big bowl of ice "
" Okay " Ezzy said.
" I'll come along. " Vaelor offered following her.
" Do you guys think Vaelor may really be into Ezzy ?" Oleta asked.
" I was also thinking the same thing " Sirena said.
" Did you guys see the bouquet she was holding?. That bouquet is big enough to serve as an umbrella for all twelve of us. "
" Who knows?" Andre said. " He may really like her "
They had to quickly shift the conversation to something else because Ezzy and Vaelor were coming back. They dropped the items on the table and sat down. Ezzy was trying hard not to laugh. She had been noticing how Mona kept glaring at Sirena like she wanted to eat her up. Unaware of the jealous girl by her side, Sirena kept on laughing and touching Kairos everywhere.
Ezzy stood up and excused herself. She walked to the bathroom. She had finished using the bathroom and was washing her hands when Drayce walked in. She raised her head to look at him.
" Hi " she said. They hadn't exchanged a word since she arrived.
Drayce didn't reply. He dipped his hand into his pocket and brought out a box. He dropped it on the sink.
" What's that ?" Ezzy asked.
" It's a gift " Drayce replied gruffly.
" Why are you giving me a gift? " Ezzy asked looking surprised.
" Do I have to make it so obvious that I wanted to come with you today?." Drayce asked.
" Then why didn't you ask me?" Ezzy asked.
" I wanted to ask you after lunchtime but you already said yes to Vaelor "
" You should have asked me earlier. " Ezzy said. " I was waiting for you "
" Happy Valentine's day " Drayce said leaving the bathroom.
Ezzy put the box inside her purse together with the gift Vaelor had also given her. She walked out of the bathroom. The party had become intense and they were now playing a game of Never have I ever. Some of the students had already drank a lot. Some were sprawled on the floor while others were sleeping on the table.
