Unlike his usual walk to school, today Marcus had to deal with something new. He had Moka wrapped around his left arm, pressing herself against him as tightly as she could, her grip possessive yet comfortable. On his right side, his arm had practically disappeared into Kurumu's chest as she clung to him just as stubbornly. The two girls were glaring daggers at each other, eyes sharp and unblinking, a silent war raging between them.
Meanwhile, Yukari rode atop Marcus's shoulders, legs draped comfortably around his neck, blissfully ignoring the tension simmering below. Instead of breaking things up, Marcus simply grinned and kept walking, unfazed as he ignored the stares filled with bloodlust from every guy they passed along the way.
When they finally reached the front entrance of the school, Marcus gently freed his arms. The two girls, who had been locked in a quiet battle for his attention just moments ago, immediately pouted, clearly dissatisfied. Marcus then reached up and lifted Yukari off his shoulders, setting her down carefully.
"Aww, are we here already?" Yukari said, frowning in disappointment, her shoulders drooping.
"'Fraid so, short stack. I'll give you another ride when we head back to the dorms later, okay?" Marcus said with a chuckle, ruffling her hair affectionately.
"Yes! I can't wait!" Yukari said, her mood instantly brightening as she ran off toward her class, a skip in her step.
Marcus turned back to the other two, both still sulking.
"You two quit pouting. What's going on with you anyway?" Marcus asked curiously, raising an eyebrow as he looked between them.
"Nothing," the two girls said in unison, crossing their arms and looking away from each other, their expressions making it painfully obvious that it was anything but nothing.
------
Marcus was walking alone to the cafeteria when three random guys appeared in front of him, blocking his path. The one in the middle was of average height and looks, with short light brown hair. The one to his right was tall and nerdy-looking, with shoulder-length dark brown hair and glasses perched on his face. The final member of the trio was short and fat, with dirty blonde hair. All three had blue eyes, and all three were wearing pink robes over their academy uniforms.
"There you are, Marcus Williams, our archenemy," said the leader, pointing a shaking hand at Marcus, his voice filled with forced bravado.
"Archenemy? I don't even know you guys," Marcus replied flatly.
Before any of the three could answer, Marcus felt something, or rather someone, land lightly on his shoulders.
"Found you," Yukari said with a cheerful laugh, wrapping her arms around his head comfortably.
"Ah, my sweet darling Yukari, how wonderful it is to see you," the tall one said with a perverse smile, his eyes lingering far too long.
"Who's this creep?" Yukari said as she recoiled in disgust, clutching Marcus tighter.
"Oh, how rude of us. We forgot to introduce ourselves. I am Kasahara Kozo," said the leader, punctuating his words with a dramatic hair flip.
"I am Nagai Kubasaki," said the nerdy one as he pushed his glasses higher on his face.
"And I am Taira Bosaburo," said the fat blonde one as he pointed to himself proudly.
"And we are the Fan Club Coalition," the three said in unison, striking dramatic poses.
The three then went on to explain how they were Moka, Kurumu, and Yukari's biggest fans and destined lovers, their voices growing more unhinged by the second.
"So you see, that's why you're our archenemy," Marcus Kozo said venomously, glaring at Marcus.
"So you're a bunch of creeps that have been stalking my friends," Marcus said coldly, his expression hardening as he stared at them with murderous intent.
"You think anyone would notice if we got rid of them?" Yukari said with cold indifference, her voice disturbingly calm.
"Let's find out," Marcus said seriously as he stepped forward, rolling his shoulders and cracking his knuckles.
"Alright, men, attack and hold nothing back," Kozo said, trying desperately to rouse his fighting spirit.
A few minutes later, the entire Fan Club Coalition was laying in three identical craters, completely motionless.
"Think they're dead?" Yukari said casually as she poked one of them with a stick.
"Woah, what happened here?" Kurumu shouted as she ran over, Moka right next to her, both staring at the scene in disbelief.
"These guys came out of nowhere and picked a fight with me, so I kicked their asses," Marcus said bluntly, not even breaking a sweat.
"Maybe you should have held back," Moka said with a chuckle as she scratched her cheek nervously.
"Hey, these creeps have photos of us," Yukari said in anger, holding up a thick stack of photos she had taken off one of the fallen boys.
"Here's shots of us eating lunch, shots of us during gym class, shots of us walking to the dorms, shots of us in class.""What the hell?" Kurumu said in anger as she went through the photos, her hands shaking.
"I take it back. You didn't hit them hard enough Marcus" Moka said. As she stared down at the three boys with clear contempt written across her face.
" We'll report them to the headmaster later," Kurumu said as she sighed in annoyance.
Marcus turned and started to walk away, only to once more feel weight on his shoulders and warm softness pressing into his left and right sides. This time, Moka and Kurumu weren't bothering with each other at all. Instead, they simply leaned into Marcus, blissful expressions on their faces, content as they walked together.
"I guess this is just my new normal," Marcus said with a resigned smile.
------
Marcus had just finished sparring with Inner Moka for the day and was getting a drink when he felt two very big, soft objects press against his back. He turned his head slightly and saw Inner Moka wrapping herself around him, her arms warm and tight.
"It's not fair that she's the only one that gets to taste," Moka said as she leaned in and sank her fangs into Marcus's neck. Her eyes widened for a moment before she completely closed them in bliss, savoring the moment.
When she finished, she stood staring off into space, a soft blush covering her cheeks.
"I believe you when you say you're a demigod. No human could have blood this divine. I think I could get hooked on it," Moka said, already wanting more, her voice low and hungry.
Marcus flicked Moka on the forehead.
"Ow," she said, rubbing the spot.
"I'm your friend, not your blood bank. I don't mind you drinking my blood occasionally, but any more than this, and I'll have to start charging for it," Marcus said with a playful smile.
"Oh? And what would you charge me to drink your blood twice a day?" Moka said with a smirk, backing Marcus against a tree, wrapping her arms around him, and pressing herself close, the warmth of her body radiating against him.
"Now that I think about it… isn't the way you drink my blood a little intimate?" Marcus said, teasing her.
"I suppose it is," Moka admitted, clipping the rosary back onto her choker as she shifted back into the form of Outer Moka.
"What were you two doing?!" Outer Moka shouted, her face completely red as she woke up, still wrapped around Marcus, inches from his face, her eyes wide with shock and embarrassment.
(Authors Note:A little short I know but the bad guys are cannon fodder and I didn't want to do Gin's introduction chapter just yet )
