The serpent ch72
As the serpent rises it was finally here in front of their eyes.
With about 20 feet in diameter and horns going several feet along its body and a bright red seemingly water spitting tongue.
The serpent with blue scales all over its body and bright aqua colored eyes and a massive roar with enough bass in its voice to scare the life out of anybody within the vicinity.
It was the sight of death itself. As where the three of them were was the territory and they were trespassing.
"Holy fuck" said shinya the first to realize wholeheartedly and make an action towards it.
"Run away!!" Shouted shinya to the other two as they were slightly ahead of him out of the water. As in the distance was the end of the lake it was clear they had to make it there before the dragon could use its body to rush after them.
With zero hesitation Lucas grabbed Irene and picked her up and began running through the water as they were more on the shallow side.
Though that didn't solve the problem at all on shinyas predicament just what exactly could shinya do at all.
With the only tool in his disposal shinya grabbed ahold of the old gun he had.
He watched as the serpent carefully observed him before making any moves and carefully observed the other two and how they were getting out of the water so the serpent decided to make its move.
Woosh! Woosh! ! Woosh!
As the serpent back underneath the water and began to go towards Lucas and Irene.
Frantically and panicking shinya tried as fast as he could to get over to them before the serpent but it was ultimately too late it didn't matter how fast he could go this was comparing him to a literal water dragon obviously it's speed would be faster.
Rising up from the water and appearing right before Lucas and Irene was the serpent. With speed as quick as lightning Lucas pushed Irene off of him as the dragon began to push up water from its lungs.
"Lucas no!!!" Shouted Irene as Lucas pushed her back in the air far away from him completely separating them as a result.
BURRRRRRRRR
was the sound to describe what was happening as the water rised up from the dragons lungs and it opened its mouth and let it out towards Lucas.
Was this it? Was this just yet another person around shinya that would die? Was there absolutely nothing he could do about it? How could he even deal with this this was insanity entirely. He can't let this happen no there's no way he could let this happen he has to do something now.
Even with all the thoughts running through shinyas head within just the span of a few seconds it didn't matter as the dragon was firing a water beam straight from its mouth at Lucas.
What felt like forever but was probably only a few second of a long blue beam coming out of the dragons mouth.
Mist appeared all around the dragons mouth and where Lucas once was.
There was no way of confirming or knowing just what had happened it was complete insanity just how badly did Lucas get killed by the creature.
Just for shinya to suddenly hear a voice come out from the mist as it slowly evaporated around him.
"Is that all you got you fucking oversized lizard bastard!" Said Lucas as he launched his gun towards the serpents eyes.
Boom!!!
Before shinya could even make sense of the scene before him a big bright blue beam came out of Lucas gun. With the mist slowly clearing up what was once not visible it was Lucas.
Though he looked different he looked well, mechanical honestly. He wasn't fully human. It was at this moment that shinya fully realized what it meant to be apart of the cyberpunk humanity. You yourself had to give up your humanity.
Cause in front of shinyas eyes right now was clearly a man with a half mechanical body.
