Chapter 1 - Prologue

A camera clicks on, the screen flickers, and a boy with Ginger hair and amber eyes comes into frame. He sits on the edge of his bed, takes a deep breath, and begins speaking.]

"My name is Isaac Windsor. I'm 18 years old, and I work as a manager at a dog pound. If this tape is being watched by law enforcement—or by any of my family members—then the sad truth is that I'm either dead... or something worse has happened to me.

Two months ago, I somehow gained the attention of... something. Since then, it's gone out of its way to ruin my life—destroying the relationships I had with my friends, and even threatening my family's safety. As per its request... tonight, I will fight for my life—for their lives.

I don't believe I'll survive the night. So, if I don't make it... I want to get a few things off my chest."

[He takes a shaky breath, blinking back emotion.]

"Mom, Dad... I'm so sorry. You'll never get to see me graduate. Never see me get married. If I had more time, I would've stayed with you longer—just one more dinner, one more hug.

Unis... I'm so sorry I'm gone. Just know that your big brother loves you very, very much. I know one day you'll grow up to be strong and kind and brave—just like we always said.

Mark Robitalle, Daniel Torrance... you two are my best friends. Mark, I swear, I would never trash your mom's store. I respect you—and her—far too much for that. And Daniel, I would never destroy your speakers. I know how hard you worked to buy them.

No matter what's happened... you guys are like brothers to me. I love you both.

To my coworkers, Eve and Tom—I hope you're safe. There's a reason I gave you both the night off. The fewer loved ones out there tonight, the better chance I have of keeping everyone safe.

And finally... Flynn.

I wish there was a next life where we could be together. My feelings for you are real. I care about you—so much. And that's why I have to do this. Because if I don't... not just you, but everyone I care about will be in danger.

As for anyone else watching this—the press, the FBI, whoever you are... leave Ashvale. It is not safe. Get your families and go.

I repeat—get out of Ashvale. The werewolf is real."
