Synopsis
In a small, forgotten town, a young orphan named Elara is raised by her grandfather, the last in a long line of legendary clockmakers. From a young age, she is immersed in the mysterious world of intricate timepieces, each ticking away with a secret of its own. As she matures, Elara begins to uncover her family's extraordinary legacy: they are the stewards of an ancient and powerful key that holds dominion over the realm of time itself. This key is no mere trinket. It guards an ancient secret that, if revealed, could unravel the very fabric of reality. It is the key to the clockwork of the universe, a paradoxical force that governs past, present, and future. But the key has a dark side—its power is tied to an ever-present danger that threatens to collapse the balance of time. When her grandfather suddenly disappears under mysterious circumstances, Elara is forced into the role of the timekeeper, inheriting the weight of their shared destiny. As she embarks on a journey across realms, Elara must decipher the cryptic secrets of the key, confront her past, and ultimately, face a decision that could alter time itself forever. The clock is ticking, and only Elara can decide whether to preserve time or shatter it for good.

Chapter 1 - CHAPTER ONE (The beginning)

They say every story has a beginning and eventually an end, a pattern that unveils the truth a piece to a missing puzzle that's has different piece scattered across different universe, each incomplete without the other.

Well mine doesn't, there might have been a beginning but it nevers ends, stuck in a time loop tearing part the very fabric of time, horrors relived nightmares reborn. Time, time? It just never ends. You thinking that you'd get chances to right your wrongs, make a better choice, epic do overs, a new beginning but like I said it never ends.

I'm Elara and this is my story....

Growing up I never really knew my parents, having little memories of them is just not enough, they were always on the run from someone or something, they've made so many enemies that just want their pound of flesh. So I grew up with my grandparents, they said I was going to be safe there and be far away from harm. Over the decade I saw very little of them, and each time my mom would say..-Elara, everything is going to be okay" holding my chin in the palm of her hand, kissing my forehead gently and carefully tucking my hair behind my ear. "we'll be together again as a family and we'll never have to be apart again".

I was young and there was nothing I wanted more than to have all of my parents love and grow up under the loving embrace of my father. But fate was cruel and I got sick of hope, believing that everything was really going to go back to the way they were.

It was little before dawn, the semi large clock on my wall ticking, the sounds of the ticks were audible cause it was still early and little noise In the streets. looking out my window I could tell the sun was going to be up any moment from now, I pulled my sheets of my off myself, sitting up to face the mirror on my bed side. My body was half awake and my head light, I stood up to look out the window, feeling the early morning cool breeze on my face, I was warm all over but, I shudder as the gentle breeze brushed my skin. My body was gaining full consciousness. The sun was peeking behind the the valleys announcing it's arrival. Walking back to my bed I heard a slight knock on my door, and the door opened afterwards.

My grandma walking holding a cup in her hand, little steams ooz off the surface of the liquid, she had brought me my morning tea.

 - morning dear", she said walking towards the other side of my bed. Then she sat down still holding the cup of tea in hand.

I sat down on the other side of the bed leaning forward to give her a hug. - morning meemaw" I mumbled as she kissed my forehead while carefully rubbing my chin with the back of her hand.

-you know you didn't have to bother, I was going to come down anyways" I said taking the cup of tea from her carefully.

 - it's fine daisy" she said sniffling. Her voice was coarse than usual with a hint of tears in her voice "I was coming up here, so I brought it for you". She completed urging me to take a sip.

Something felt off, her eye bags were puffy, and her face was slightly red, I couldn't tell cause the sun wasn't really up yet.

 - is something wrong?", I asked holding the cup with both hands, I hesitated to take a sip. Squaring up to look at her. I hardly saw my meemaw sad, she was always smiling, happy about little things and worried less. She looked at me with a lot of concern in her eyes forging a smile to make me less worried. But I was worried, I haven't even taken a sip of my tea, and I love tea!

 - there's something I have to tell you" she said, her voice a little shaky as she tried to hold back her tears.

I felt my heart begin to pound, what happened I wondered resting both my hands carefully on my lap so I don't spill the tea all over myself. - tell me" I said, not sure if I was ready for what she wanted to say, how I would receive it, deal with, how bad it could be. The look on her face said otherwise, I was beginning to get scared.

 - your parents died in Duskhaven, the bodies were identified at the morgue yesterday". She reached out to hold my hand, trying to comfort me. But I was far from being comforted. I was confused and she could tell. I felt blank, a sudden rush of sadness washed over me, making my head spin, I was speechless motionless, I didn't know what to say to her.

 - come here"she said taking the cup of tea from hand, then she placed it on the little table beside my bed, pulling me into her embrace. We were both crying now each comforting the other.

 - I'm sorry dear"she mumbled tearfully into my hair, her hands wrapped around my arms as I cried into her bossom.

"when did this happened?., I said, swallowing hard as the my salty tears made it's way to my mouth.

 -"how?, why? I continued

 - "the morgue attendant said the bodies were brought in a night ago and that he sent the massage as soon as he identify the bodies" she was still holding me, as she wiped her tears with her left hand. She held me upright to look at me, my face red and pale tears running down my eyes to my lips. I felt a knot twist in my stomach, a sharp pain of emotion tearing through my heart. It hurt continuously, I couldn't control it. Making my heart pound heavily. Truth is I've never felt like this since ever.
