"Good day Mr_" Maria was saying
"Come in" Edward James cut her off as he doesn't want to hear her addressing him as Mr Edward James.
He took his seat behind the desk then looked up to her gesturing her to seat.
"How have you been?" Maria Moore asked not sure how to begin a conversation with him.
" Busy as usual" Edward replied wanting her to say why she came even though he knew
"Erm_ actually I want to know why you transfered your family house in my name" she asked
" It's a gift and you shouldn't be worried because I built it in memory of my late parents. In other words the James family mansion is mine and I can do with it whatever I want" Edward explained to her.
" Thank you but no thanks, I can't accept it" she told him and he nods smiling defeated but waited for her to continue.
"I will be moving out just like i told you some days back so you don't have to stay out of your home, please don't be upset with my decision_ Always know you are a special friend" Maria Moore told him.
"Special friend not bad if you say so and hope this special friend will be allowed to visit and will be visited?" Edward James asked more releaved that he's special to her.
"Yes you can visit anytime any day" she smiled and it melts his heart.
" Thank you" he told her.
" I'll love to be coming to the company from now on" Maria Moore said and he kinda didn't expect that
"Not bad, I will arrange for your official car and ch_"
"There will be know need for all that Mr Edward, it's all taken care of" she told him.
"Alright then_ do you mind helping a special friend with some lunch" Edward asked her.
"Sure"
It wasn't until 4:30pm that Maria Moore left Edward James to her new apartment.
She got a little busy fixing her bedroom stuff and arranging her closet.
While she stayed with Edward James he got her a couple of high end work clothes and other outfits which she hasn't made use of.
At 8:15pm she heard the bell ding, not sure who it was as she never told anyone about her moving out. Looking through the peephole she saw Lila one of Edward James domestic staffs.
"Lila what brings you here, come on in" Maria told her.
"Good evening ma'am, your apartment is Soo cuzy" Lila said admiring the colorful decorations and design on the wall.
"Cuzy you say but not as the Edward James mansion" Maria said
"Yeah, ma'am boss asked_" the buzzing sound of Maria's phone interrupted their conversation
"When you talk about the devil he appears" Maria Moore said which made Lila to chuckle. Maria Moore stepped into her room to answer his call.
"Hello "
"What took you so long to pick up?" Asked Edward who was a bit tensed
"I was with Lila and what's she doing here" Maria Moore questioned him
"She'll be your staff from now on, sorry I didn't ask for your opinion but it's good to have someone to talk to and help with the domestic work while you're away". Edward James told her but Maria rolled her eyes.
"I don't think I need her but thanks"
"That's more like it" Edward said, he didn't want to end the call just yet, which made them both to be silent for a while.
"Will you be coming to the company tomorrow?" Edward asked
"Yes I will but I think I should be working in the branch company for designing instead of the headquarters" she told him, Edward James was silent for few seconds.
"Don't you like working in the headquarters?" He asked
" Who wouldn't like that, it's just that it will be more appropriate to be where am supposed to be and not because am the CEO'S crush" Maria Moore said but it was too late to take back her words and she facepalm herself.
Edward James smiled at her comment but he knew he she will be blushing now so he let it be, he'll get back at her some other time.
"Come over to the company with the design you got then you'll head to the branch company" he told her
"Okay boss" she said
"I will let you go, good night" he said and hung up
