Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3: TRAINING DAY

The next morning, after being transported to the world of One Piece, Raidon woke up and ate breakfast. The meal consisted of meat from a Sea King that his clones had hunted during the night. Before going to sleep, he had ordered them to track down and kill three Sea Kings, preparing them for his meals throughout the day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As expected, they didn't disappoint. Now, Raidon was enjoying the rich, nutrient-dense meat of an 18-foot Sea King, which was perfect for nourishing his growing body.

After eating, he began his planned routine. For the morning, his objective was straightforward: sprint across the entire island for five hours straight, without water or food.

To increase the challenge, Raidon conjured a construct resembling a heavy chain, along with ten bars, each weighing ten tons, that could be attached to it. He connected the bars to the chain and secured the other end to his body, burdening himself with a total of 100 tons of additional weight.

He then began his run.

Despite the massive drag, Raidon's pace gradually increased until he was sprinting at full speed. He could feel the immense strain on his body, but he welcomed it. Most people wouldn't dare attempt such training without a body refined through years of development. However, as a modified human, Raidon believed that this brutal regimen might help awaken more of his latent potential—perhaps even accelerate the evolution of his sapphire-like skin.

While running, Raidon suddenly realized he could use this opportunity to begin training his Observation Haki. By covering his eyes and sprinting through the natural obstacles of the forest, he would be forced to rely on his other senses. He summoned a strip of cloth and tied it tightly over his eyes, blinding himself completely.

With his vision gone, Raidon charged ahead.

Almost immediately, he stumbled, slamming into trees, scraping against jagged rocks, and getting cut by countless thorns along the way. The forest was merciless, and each misstep left him bruised and bloodied. Still, he pushed forward, determined to sharpen his awareness through trial and error.

It took nearly an hour of relentless running before he started to notice a change. His body, through instinct or developing perception, began to react just a split second earlier than before. By the end of the training session, he was able to avoid some of the obstacles—an early but encouraging sign that his Observation Haki was beginning to awaken.

He continued running until he was notified that five hours had passed. Removing his blindfold, Raidon made his way back to the house, where countless clones were busy cooking an enormous feast. They had returned from another round of Sea King hunting, as he had instructed them earlier that the morning's catch wouldn't be enough to satisfy his growing appetite.

Upon arriving, Raidon immediately began eating the freshly prepared food. His clones continued working in the kitchen, cooking additional dishes. Alongside the meat, they had gathered fruits and vegetables to ensure a balanced diet and provide variety, preventing Raidon from growing tired of the taste or developing any nutritional deficiencies. It took him a full hour to feel satisfied, which was impressive considering he had devoured five whole Sea Kings, each around ten feet tall.

After finishing his meal, Raidon summoned his sparring partner—a clone modeled after Jax, wielding a lamppost as its weapon. The clone's fighting style reflected Raidon's current understanding from the 5% integration with the Jax template, granting it knowledge of the fundamentals of Icathian martial arts. Raidon also designed it to switch weapons during combat if needed.

With everything prepared, the sparring match began. The Jax clone struck first, swinging its lamppost toward Raidon, who blocked the blow with his brush staff. The two clashed in a flurry of parries and counters, exchanging blows with increasing intensity. Each strike pushed Raidon to dig deeper into the techniques of the template, accelerating his integration through live combat against an opponent designed to emulate Jax.

Nearly an hour passed before either of them managed to land a clean hit. In a moment of mutual risk, both combatants dropped their guard. Raidon landed a blow to the clone's torso, while the clone struck him across the face. Both staggered briefly, then recovered and resumed their fight with renewed determination.

Their sparring continued, relentless and focused, until the sun dipped below the horizon.

Raidon then moved on to his regular strength training, beginning with lifting extraordinarily heavy objects of his creation. First, he summoned a construct consisting of plates weighing 100 tons each, fitted onto a bar with a central grip. Loading two plates—one on each end—he began bench pressing a total of 400 tons. His goal was to complete 1,000 repetitions in a single set.

The first few reps went smoothly, but after the 100th, he began pausing for a second between each lift. By the time he completed the set, his arms were burning, and exhaustion pulsed through his entire body. Still, he didn't stop—two more sets remained. Each one took him 30 minutes to finish, and by the end of the final rep, he could barely lift his arms.

But Raidon wasn't done yet. Gritting his teeth, he continued with bicep curls using the same 400-ton weight and number of reps and sets. Afterward, he concluded his muscle training with pure power punches, summoning a massive stone wall and striking it 10,000 times with each arm, just like Garp and Aokiji once did. Every punch shook the air, and by the end, his fists throbbed and his body trembled from fatigue.

When he finally finished, the moon hung high overhead, bathing the world in silver light. Raidon nearly collapsed from exhaustion, but his clones quickly approached with freshly cooked food. The scent alone seemed to revitalize him. Sitting down, he devoured the meal that had been prepared, replenishing his energy.

Despite his overwhelming fatigue, Raidon still chose to bathe before sleeping. Though every muscle in his body screamed for rest, he believed that building good habits—especially when exhausted—was essential to true discipline. The moment he lay down on his bed, completely unclothed, he fell into a deep sleep.

Meanwhile, his clones continued their tasks. They prepared everything needed for the next day's training and meals, efficiently organizing supplies. They also preserved all the Sea King hides they had collected, thinking they could be used to craft simple clothing for Raidon, despite having no actual knowledge of tailoring.
