Eric was inevitably a bit dismayed when he saw there were only three effects of her Title, but understanding their significance, he slowly felt better.
It was not like Michelle was the only aspiring accountant in the world, right?
By the way System, why is the Title is still the same as the term Aspiring when her potential is only B-grade?
{Because Aspiring means they are students–their potential directly aligns with their current status. If it will reach A+ grade, by then, the aspiring might be deleted, cementing their status as certified professionals in their field.}
Eric nodded inwardly.
He snapped to reality when he saw Michelle had fallen to despair after seeing his dismayed expression. Eric, or rather, Ixcahua was a master of control when it came to his emotion, so he smoothly changed his expression by smiling brightly, exuding an aura of an amicable person.
"Of course, you are included. The more, the better."
"Why do you want to save us? Are we not a problem to you? Aside from protecting us, you have to provide us with food and water - accommodation, as well - while we are not even sure how we can repay you." Zoe could not restrain her curiosity.
Meanwhile, Michelle blushed. She had an idea of how to return the favor. Although Zoe noticed her action and obviously read her mind, she instantly denied it, believing her impression of Eric.
Eric's eyes lit up.
"Now that you have mentioned it, I forgot that I have to forage for food as well after killing some zombies outside and saving some people."
"There is only a single zombie in this house, we trapped her in our room, while there were only us, living humans, supposedly after seeing no one appeared after we were screaming at the top of our lungs," said Samantha. "This house is a female only boarding house and it could accept eleven boarders at most, as there were five rooms–one for four, two for singles, one for two, and one for three. Obviously, we have foods, like canned goods and mineral water. If you want, you can stay here."
Eric was astonished. He then scrutinized the house and perceived that it was cleaner than their boarding house. He decided to ask the boys later on to relocate here and make it their residence temporarily.
In addition, the boys were not that far anyway and the zombies' quantity outside diminished after he killed most of them, so it should be safe to wander outside.
He spoke to Samantha, "Alright, we will stay here, then."
"You still have not answered my question yet," Zoe insisted.
Eric gave her a strange look and tried to recall her question. However, Zoe was getting impatient so she asked the same question once again.
His answer would determine her decision to follow him–she meant it forever, rather than temporary.
"Why do I want to save people?" Eric smirked. "Because I want to build an Empire. What's an Empire without people?"
Michelle's eyes sparkled. She stood up and asked excitedly, "Because you want to create a haven for us during this apocalypse?"
Eric stared at her in silence and honestly replied, "Not really. I just want to build one."
The girls were speechless.
Eric poked his right ear and blew the earwax. He glanced at the girls and saw Zoe, staring at him.
She asked, "One last question."
Eric nodded. "Go ahead."
"What is your vision in your Empire?"
"My vision?" Eric grinned. "To turn the world into my Empire."
"Pfftt. What is that childish vision?" Michelle giggled.
Eric merely smiled at her reaction.
"Isn't that too ambitious?" Zoe asked.
"Better than not having one at all."
Zoe's eyes lit up, as though understanding something as she nodded.
She sighed with a smile.
"Alright, as our dear Leader then, what is your first order?"
Eric pondered for a while. I have to complete the mission of foraging for food and water first.
He said, "I want you all to gather all the food and water. Then, Samantha will inspect the foods and water, while Michelle must effectively sort them out, ensuring it will last for a month–that is, including another five people beside us."
Even without Andrew saying about the current number of people inside the boarding house aside from them, Eric already sensed how many people were inside excluding them.
Michelle and Samantha nodded with a grave expression, while Zoe was not disheartened she was not given an individual task.
Eric said, "As for you, Zoe, your role is not needed yet."
Zoe smiled… However, it appeared mysterious.
She smirked, "Okay, leader. But, I am curious, how do you know our name?"
Eric was taken aback. Thankfully, he kept his poker face, and with the aid of the viscous blood painted on his face, he responded with an ambiguous expression.
He said, "I have my own ways."
Zoe laughed half-heartedly and shook her head. She did not bother pressing him as she passed by him, searching for food and water. Meanwhile, Michelle and Samantha were a bit muddled by their interaction, as the latter followed Zoe after bowing to Eric.
Michelle, on the other hand, was a bit anxious. She wanted to form a romantic relationship with Eric, but the latter turned around and grabbed the headless body of the zombie, pulling it towards the door.
He had to get rid of the zombie's corpse, as it would only pollute their temporary base.
Eric sensed Michelle, standing behind him. He was not dumb to not be aware of Michelle's intention. In fact, with the apocalypse happening, this was the first time he could have fun. However, Ixcahua already had on his previous life, and he could control his sexual drive.
In this life, he promised to focus on building his Empire first before entertaining any women.
As he pulled the zombies and finally arrived beside Michelle, he said, "Since you are letting Samantha and Zoe search for the food first, I'll change your task. Go get the severed head of the zombies and throw it outside."
Michelle was stunned. She glanced at the severed, malformed face of the zombie, she suddenly felt nauseous and acting to vomit.
Her face turned ugly, knowing that it would be difficult to defy their new leader's order.
