"One!"
Everyone in front of the screen couldn't stop their hearts from sinking a little.
Even though they already knew the answer, hearing it come from Doctor Strange's own mouth still shook them.
Out of more than ten million outcomes, they won only one.In other words, the probability of victory was one in ten million!
What's the difference between that and zero?It was basically guaranteed defeat.
And yet, thinking about how they still managed to overturn a situation that was almost certain doom… it felt unbelievable.
"I think now, we already know who fought Thanos on Titan." Captain America spoke first, summarizing.
The footage of the Titan battle had been played multiple times. After combining all the clips, this point was now certain.
The lineup: Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, plus Star-Lord, Drax, and Mantis — six people in total.
So the battle on Titan was six versus one.
The result was obvious: the Avengers side lost, and lost badly.
Iron Man was nearly stabbed to death, and Doctor Strange was ultimately forced to hand over the Time Stone.
"And there's another point. The battle on Titan was Thanos going after the Avengers — not the Avengers going after Thanos!"
Captain America continued.
This order of events spoke volumes.
"Why Titan?" Tony Stark frowned slightly, raising the question. "What advantage was there in fighting on Titan?"
This was something he truly couldn't understand at the moment.
If Iron Man had made a plan to ambush Thanos, even intending to steal back the Stones, that meant Iron Man understood Thanos's goal clearly.
He knew Thanos was after the Stones.
So why did he still go with Doctor Strange to Titan?
Was he using Doctor Strange as bait to steal the other Stones from Thanos?
Did Iron Man really dare to make such a plan with just three people?
That was far too reckless.
And clearly, Iron Man and Star-Lord only met by coincidence on Titan — that could be seen from how Iron Man addressed him.
As for the exact details of what happened on Titan… without information, they couldn't deduce anything meaningful.
[Please listen to the question: From which person did Thanos learn the location of the Soul Stone?]
[A. Nebula]
[B. Gamora]
[C. Black Widow]
[D. Hawkeye Barton]
[Friendly reminder:Correct answer — reward: one Hextech Gunblade.Wrong answer — one random personal attribute will be deducted, including but not limited to knowledge, experience, skills, possessions, etc…]
A new question appeared, drawing everyone's attention back to the screen.
The moment the question came out, everyone's spirit lifted.
Of the six Infinity Stones, they already had clues for four, but the Soul Stone and Reality Stone remained complete mysteries.
This question would finally reveal some clue regarding the Soul Stone.
"Among the four people in the options, Thanos took Gamora to that mysterious planet and used her soul to trade for the Soul Stone."
"Natasha and Barton also went to that planet — Natasha sacrificed herself so Barton could obtain the Soul Stone."
"These three have all been to the planet where the Soul Stone is located. As for Nebula… we have no information." Captain America began the analysis, laying out the situation of the four options.
"Then let's start by analyzing the three people who actually went to the Soul Stone's planet," Dr. Banner suggested logically.
Naturally, no one objected. Everyone began thinking hard, hoping to find anything relevant.
Unfortunately, despite all the questions they had answered and all the information they'd gained, almost none of it was connected to the Soul Stone.
The only related question was the one about Black Widow and Hawkeye retrieving the Soul Stone.
"Everyone, it looks like we don't have any known clues or information that can support a strong analysis. We can only reason from logic alone."
Tony Stark spoke to everyone, and then immediately offered his judgment.
"If it were me, I'd eliminate Natasha and Barton first."
"Earth hasn't reached interstellar capability yet, and the Soul Stone definitely isn't on Earth — that much we know."
"So information about a Soul Stone hidden on an alien planet is far more likely to be known by someone from space."
"Makes sense!" Thor agreed immediately.
Earthlings couldn't even leave Earth freely — how would they know things about alien planets?
"Is there another possibility?"
Strange raised a different but reasonable point.
"Since future Stark, Spider-Man, and I went to Titan, that means we may have developed some method to explore other planets."
"Therefore, Natasha and Barton might also have gone to alien planets and learned the Soul Stone's location."
"Or someone who knew about the Soul Stone came to Earth, something happened, and Natasha and Barton learned the information from them."
"Is that possible?"
This scenario wasn't impossible.
Less likely, perhaps — but not impossible.
"Doctor, what you're saying isn't wrong, but… it's still far-fetched." Tony replied after some thought.
"Even if you and I reach Titan in the future, that doesn't prove Earth becomes an interstellar civilization. Those are two different things."
"It's like the moon."
"Earth has only landed on one other celestial body: the moon. Nothing else."
"Earth has researched Mars for decades, sent countless probes — but never sent a single human there."
"So even if Earth develops the means to land on Titan in the future, I don't believe Earth can casually land on other planets. It's not that simple."
"And you and I both know Earth's current aerospace level. How much development can realistically happen in just a few years?"
Tony's words left Strange speechless.
Landing on alien planets wasn't something achieved by just building a spaceship and picking a destination.
That was fantasy.
With Earth's current technology, it was impossible.
Landing on Titan only meant someone would land on Titan in the future — nothing more.
Other planets?Still unreachable.
And Titan was a dead world. Even if Natasha and Barton reached Titan, they couldn't possibly learn the Soul Stone's location there.
"As for someone with the information coming to Earth, and Natasha and Barton conveniently learning it — that's also possible, but very unlikely."
Tony continued.
"I don't think it's Natasha and Barton," Banner added. "First, their probability of learning it is small — Tony already explained that."
"Second, even if they learned the information, don't forget — the question is asking about Thanos."
"If Thanos really learned the Soul Stone's location from them, would he have left them alive?"
This point was very persuasive.
Thanos wasn't some kind noble figure — he was a madman who slaughtered half the universe. If Natasha or Barton fell into his hands, could they survive?
And it's impossible to imagine them telling him the location… and then just walking away alive.
After everyone's analysis, Black Widow and Hawkeye Barton were eliminated.
Their chances were far lower than the remaining two.
Everyone shifted focus to Gamora and Nebula.
"So is it Gamora or Nebula? Both are daughters of Thanos, and in some sense they overlap heavily." Star-Lord said as he scanned the group.
"The only difference we know is: Gamora was sacrificed by Thanos, while Nebula stayed on Earth and fought Thanos with us."
Captain America added after thinking.
But with just that much information, it was hard to reach a conclusion.
The group fell into brief silence as everyone thought.
"Everyone, do you remember what Natasha said when she went for the Stone? What exactly did she say?" Banner suddenly recalled something and asked.
"Banner, don't tease us — hurry and say it," Thor urged.
"Natasha said: 'Thanos left with the Soul Stone, but he didn't bring his daughter back.' What does that tell us?"
Banner pointedly asked, then gave the answer himself.
"It means Thanos didn't bring two daughters to that planet — only one!"
This was obvious.
If he had brought two daughters, Black Widow would have said something like "he brought two daughters but returned with only one."
He clearly brought only one.
"Makes sense. And the daughter he brought was obviously Gamora." Captain America nodded, then asked sharply, "Why? Why Gamora and not Nebula?"
"Because Thanos got the Soul Stone information from Gamora!" Thor immediately said. "If he learned it from one daughter, but brought the other daughter to the planet — that makes no sense."
Indeed, it would be strange.
You take information from one source, but bring someone else entirely? Illogical.
And recently, they had captured both Gamora and Nebula — confirming another thing:
Even though Gamora and Nebula had different personalities, neither had any loyalty to Thanos.
Gamora betrayed him the moment there was an opportunity.
Nebula, despite being fierce and rebellious toward the group, held only hatred toward Thanos.
They'd already attempted communication with her — this much was certain.
So here's the problem:
What kind of man was Thanos?
A universe-level overlord.
Would he be unaware of his daughters' true feelings?
Would he believe such critical information from someone who wasn't loyal to him, and then not bring that person along to verify the truth?
Impossible.
Otherwise, Gamora could tell him any random place, and Thanos would walk straight into a trap and die. How could a cosmic overlord be that naïve?
Most likely, after extracting the information from one daughter, he made that daughter personally lead him to the Soul Stone.
That was the only way to prevent tricks.
Especially since neither daughter had loyalty to him.
"Thor's reasoning makes sense," Tony nodded.
He then explained to everyone how Gamora and Nebula felt about Thanos.
After hearing it, everyone agreed.
"Man, Thanos really had it rough. Both daughters betrayed him," Star-Lord sighed. "But the answer must be Gamora, right?"
"Most likely Gamora," Captain America agreed.
No one raised objections.
The answer was basically settled.
Next came the question of who would answer.
Their rule was always: if the question involved a specific person, that person would answer. But this question involved none of the answerers.
