"Makes sense." T'Challa nodded in agreement. "It's not just the spells—the passcode also doesn't add up logically."
"You guys said Kamar-Taj is a secretive, closed-off organization of sorcerers, right? Then if Strange went there for treatment, he should have been guided by someone."
"Before Strange was formally recognized by Kamar-Taj, they wouldn't just let him in on his own."
"Exactly. That's how it should be," Tony Stark added. "Strange went to Kamar-Taj to see the Ancient One. And who is the Ancient One?"
"The Supreme Sorcerer! A very high-ranking figure within Kamar-Taj!"
"Someone like that wouldn't meet a patient immediately upon arrival."
"The proper procedure would be for Kamar-Taj to place Strange in a waiting room, then notify the Ancient One."
"Once the Ancient One is ready, a guide would bring Strange to her."
"So in the meantime, what would Baron Mordo hand to Strange?"
At this point, Tony Stark had already made it clear. The answer was obvious.
"The WiFi password!" Scott Lang added.
Under these circumstances, any notes, spells, or access codes were irrelevant.
After all, Strange was there for treatment, not to become a disciple.
Even if he somehow got recruited later, initially, he was just seeking medical help.
The question specified it was the first day.
Once Strange's purpose at Kamar-Taj was clarified, the problem was easy to analyze.
"Looks like the answer really is the WiFi password," Strange muttered.
Following the usual rules, the person whose question it was would answer it themselves. Strange didn't hesitate.
Facing the large screen, he declared:"I choose C—WiFi password!"
[Correct Answer!][Congratulations to Stephen Strange! You've received the reward skill: Death Reversal!][Reward granted—please check your inventory!]
Swish! The system's notification sounded, and Strange instantly mastered the skill called Death Reversal.
"Death Reversal… so that's what it means," Strange murmured, a look of astonishment on his face.
"Death… Reversal?"
Scott Lang studied the skill carefully, confused. "Sounds powerful… and related to death? But does that mean it only activates upon death?"
"If so, it's kind of like Stark's Yomi Fruit," Thor said.
The Yomi Fruit was tricky—it only worked if you had died once; otherwise, it was useless.
"I don't know Stark's Yomi Fruit, but Death Reversal seems incredibly useful," Strange explained seriously. "It lets me come back to life!"
"Come back to life!" T'Challa's pupils constricted. He whispered in disbelief.
This was insane! Breaking the boundary between life and death itself—even gods couldn't do that!
"Come back to life? That's insane, man!" Scott Lang was equally shocked. "So Strange is basically immortal?"
"In a simple sense, yes," Strange nodded, then added, "But that's not all…"
"Not all? This skill does more than just resurrect you?" Scott exclaimed.
Resurrecting alone would be astounding—but this skill had additional functions?
"Lang, calm down," Captain America said calmly.
"This skill clearly does more than just resurrect," Thor said, intrigued.
"Yes, besides bringing me back to life, it also returns me to a point in time before my death," Strange elaborated.
The room fell silent.
Even Cap and Stark, veterans of countless battles, were stunned by the idea of temporal resurrection.
"Let me get this straight."
Scott rubbed his face hard. "So Death Reversal not only resurrects Strange but also sends him back to the moment before he was killed?"
"In other words, this skill combines resurrection and time travel?"
"It sounds weird when you put it that way… but yes," Strange confirmed seriously.
"No wonder it's called Death Reversal, not just resurrection. 'Reversal' refers to the return in time," Tony Stark said, finally understanding.
"Wait!" Thor suddenly realized something. "Does this mean Thanos' snap is useless?"
"Even if Thanos snapped his fingers to turn Strange to dust, this skill would automatically rewind time!"
Ah!
Everyone froze at Thor's words.
But Thor's argument was logical. If what happened on Titan really occurred, and Strange turned to ash before Stark's eyes, what would happen next?
"Thor raises an interesting point, worthy of investigation!" Tony Stark said, eyes fixed on Strange. "Strange, can this skill surpass the power of the six Infinity Stones?"
Although Tony doubted it, it had to be verified.
"I don't know," Strange shook his head. "Death Reversal comes from the Envious Witch Satira, who once devoured half the world."
"Devoured half the world?" Captain America's eyes gleamed. "Even Thanos' six Infinity Stones only wiped out half the universe's life!"
It seemed this Envious Witch could really rival the six Infinity Stones!
If true, the Avengers would already hold an unbeatable advantage.
"No, we can't compare them that simply," Tony said. "Thanos wiped out half of life because he wanted to, not because the Stones are limited to that effect!"
"The true limits of the Infinity Stones' power are unknown."
"I think it goes far beyond that—remember Infinity Ultron? The Stones might even break dimensional barriers," Tony added.
Still, whether Death Reversal could counter the Snap was unknown. Only Thanos himself could test it.
[Answer complete. Starting answer explanation!]
Swish! The system sounded again, displaying a video on the big screen.
First, the screen showed a bustling street.
A messy-haired, scruffy Strange wandered aimlessly among the crowd like a beggar.
Everyone immediately glanced at the real Strange next to them.
The difference was shocking. The Strange beside them was polished, wearing a suit, clearly an elite; the one on the screen looked like a destitute beggar.
"What the heck?" Strange twitched uncontrollably. How did he become that?
It wasn't him!
As the beggar-Strange reached a secluded street, a few local thugs tried to steal his watch.
Naturally, he refused, and they surrounded and roughed him up.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
At the critical moment, a sorcerer appeared—an African-American in a robe—and quickly defeated all the thugs.
"It's him!"
The veteran answerers recognized him: Baron Mordo, Strange's ally, who had fought alongside him multiple times.
"You're looking for Kamar-Taj," Mordo said, staring at Strange.
Strange nodded frantically.
Without further delay, Mordo led him to an enormous palace—and to an unassuming, even slightly shabby little door across from it.
"You sure this is the place?" Strange asked, skeptical. "That other one looks more like Kamar-Taj."
"I asked the same when I first arrived," Mordo said. "I also wasn't very polite. Want some advice? Forget everything you know."
Though Strange didn't understand fully, he followed Mordo inside the great hall.
Finally, he met the Ancient One.
After brief greetings, Strange rushed to his point."You healed someone named Pangborn, a paralyzed patient, and helped him walk."
"Yes," the Ancient One confirmed.
Strange could hardly stay calm."How did you heal completely damaged C7–C8 spinal segments?" he asked urgently.
"I didn't. He couldn't walk, but I convinced him he could," the Ancient One answered enigmatically.
"You're not talking about… psychological therapy, are you?" Strange couldn't accept it.
"When you reconnect damaged nerves, who's really doing the healing—you or the body itself?" the Ancient One asked sharply.
"The cells," Strange answered.
"But cells only repair themselves in their own way," the Ancient One said.
"Exactly."
"What if I told you, you could convince your own body to repair itself in every way?"
"Are you talking about cellular regeneration? That's cutting-edge medical science… Is that why you study here, because there are no restrictions?"
Strange's excitement surged—he saw hope.
Then quickly, disappointment followed.
"No. But I know how to use the soul to better heal the body," the Ancient One said.
She even pulled out a book and flipped through human meridian diagrams for Strange to see.
"Do you like these diagrams?" she asked, as if oblivious to Strange's increasingly frustrated expression.
"No, I've only seen them in gift shops," he shook his head.
The Ancient One ignored him, continuing to show diagrams.
"This bald woman… is she a scammer?" Scott Lang muttered.
Though the black-robed sorcerer's skills were impressive, the bald woman's explanations seemed nonsensical.
"Forget everything you know! That's what the sorcerer meant earlier?" T'Challa mused.
The Ancient One's words completely challenged conventional understanding. Without forgetting what you know, you couldn't comprehend her.
"I spent everything to buy this one-way ticket!"
On the screen, Strange screamed in frustration, completely breaking down. "And now you tell me I need faith to heal?"
"You've always tried to make the hole bigger to see more of the world," the Ancient One said meaningfully.
"Now that the chance is in front of you, you refuse it."
