Chapter 1 - Chapter 0.5: The Cracking Sky

In the silence of the year 2500...

The world held its breath.

Then, the very fabric of reality split open.

A jagged tear carved through the sky like a wound in space itself.

A moment later, the world changed.

A city block, ordinary, mundane, alive with light was overwritten. Replaced. Overlapped by something else. Something twisted, familiar yet foreign. Buildings bent, streets pulsed, the air itself breathed wrong.

The Void had arrived.

And from the rift came monsters.

Creatures born of chaos and hunger, dragging their world with them.

Humanity responded with fire. But bullets weren't enough. These weren't creatures of flesh alone. They brought entropy with them.

The government unleashed its weapons. Guns that didn't fire lead, but pure destruction: plasma, magnetized lightning, disintegration rounds. Bombs followed. Cities cracked. Oceans boiled. The Void pushed forward.

With extinction looming, humanity activated its final contingency: Project Planet Blue.

Using a technology bordering on madness "planetary retro-terraforming" the Earth was reshaped.

Broken into two massive circular landmasses, separated by a lethal ocean trench. They named them Terra A and Terra B, each divided into six sectors, like an unholy pizza cut by gods desperate to survive.

The oceans drowned thousands of Void invaders… but not all of them. Some swam. Some flew. Some adapted. And the war began again.

Fifteen years later…

Two figures rose from the carnage.

Noma who was known as a living weapon. Syndel who was a strategist beyond peer. Soldiers of myth. Legends of flesh. Together, they revealed a secret that changed everything:

Lumen.

A mysterious energy, born of killing Void creatures. Not everyone could harness it but those who did were transformed. Stronger. Faster. Inhuman. The first to hold it were Noma and Syndel, who formed the Kyber Program, a militant force and humanity's last shield.

Noma - famous for his absolute combat reflection, a form that turned him into a weapon incarnate.

Syndel - wielding a plant-based reflection, bending nature like a general bends armies.

Reflections. Powers. Manifestations of the Lumen Heart.

A second glowing heart that grew in the chest of the worthy. A reward for surviving, for killing, for enduring.

Not many could do it.

But the few who could… changed the course of history.

Kyber became humanity's army, its government, and its wall against annihilation.

And while Earth burned and rebuilt, Noma built Noma Haven.

A Fortress megacity on terraformed Mars.

Syndel built the Syndel Ring, a space colony of incomprehensible scale. But even they couldn't stop the eternal siege of the Void.

And somewhere, deep beneath the ground…

In a forgotten ruin…

A boy slept in ice.
