Chapter 6: Cyberpunk Mod

"The Cyberpunk 1.0 module? Sounds awesome. Just from the name, I can already picture myself turning into a chrome-plated Cyberpsycho. Confirmed."

(Note: The Cyberpunk module is an original creation by the author. Any similarities to other works are purely coincidental.)

Adrian couldn't help but get excited, completely ignoring the ongoing shootout outside. He immediately began to examine the new module—until another System notification popped up, interrupting him.

"Ding! Due to acquiring , the Magic-Modified Cube System has been updated. The version number has been upgraded to 0.1. New crafting recipe unlocked: Redstone Block."

"For details, see ."

"Hmm... I have a feeling this Cyberpunk module relies heavily on redstone. Otherwise, the update wouldn't have added a redstone block recipe right away."

Leaving the house he had been hiding in, Adrian relocated to a more distant, secure building to avoid drawing attention. Once safely inside, he dived back into analyzing the new information:

After some time, he gained a clear understanding of the System's update structure and the Cyberpunk module's basic framework.

Version Info included:

Version Number: Starts at 0.0. Each time Adrian travels to a new world, the first digit increases by one. Minor updates increase the second digit.

Version Content: Includes version mechanics, characteristics, and crafting recipes.

Mechanics and Characteristics: Affected by installed plugins.

Crafting Recipes: Added by installed modules.

"The Cyberpunk 1.0 module is a bit more complex than earlier ones, but it's still manageable. Compared to those god-tier modules I've seen, this is pretty tame."

The gunfire outside suddenly began to fade. That drew Adrian's attention back to the real world.

"Huh? The gunshots are dying down. Is the fight over?"

He listened carefully, then peeked out the window toward the battlefield. Sure enough, the Wanderers and Night Haunters were retreating from the buildings they'd been holed up in. Some were getting into vehicles and preparing to leave.

"Not sure why they were fighting, but I owe them big. If not for their shootout, I wouldn't have unlocked the Cyberpunk module this fast."

Smiling slightly, Adrian decided to wait for them to clear out completely before scavenging the area.

"The Cyberpunk module needs a ton of materials—iron, wood, sand..."

"Sand's easy. This is the Badlands, after all. Sand's the one thing I've got in abundance."

"Iron, though... I'll have to extract it from scrap or other metal-based items for now."

"As for wood, I'll get more once I get the tree farm up and running. Until then, I'll rely on conversion methods."

Once the area was quiet, Adrian stayed hidden for another ten minutes just to be sure. Then, after confirming the town was empty, he began scavenging—moving from house to house, salvaging every useful resource he could find.

"Better safe than sorry," he muttered, always staying alert, ears tuned to every sound. From time to time, he paused, listening carefully or scanning the surroundings.

After nearly seven hours of meticulous scavenging, he was finally done.

"This town's way bigger than the last one—and the haul is way better too."

He checked his backpack and began pushing his pre-loaded chest minecarts toward the Shelter.

Suddenly, he stopped. "Can't just leave junk behind. Better hide it."

He turned back, dug a hole, and buried the leftover materials that couldn't be broken down or converted into blocks beneath a pile of sand.

"I probably won't be coming back here. If someone finds scraps, they might start poking around. Best to erase all traces."

"The other town... whatever. I dumped the scraps in a house's bathroom. I'll clean that up when I've got time."

After finishing cleanup, Adrian resumed pushing the carts toward the Shelter.

Later, back at the Shelter...

"Phew. All the materials are stored. Time to get ready for Cyberpunk crafting."

"First things first: stockpile raw resources—iron, coal, quartz crystals, oil, rubber, and rare element compounds."

"Iron's covered. I've got about 120 stacks from scavenging two towns. It'll go fast, but it's a good start."

"Coal comes from compressing wood using the Wood-to-Coal Machine. Ratio's 1:1."

> (Note: Wood-to-Coal Machine Recipe—3x3 grid)

Top row: Iron Ingot, Wood, Iron Ingot

Middle row: Iron Ingot, Iron Block, Iron Ingot

Bottom row: Iron Ingot, Stone, Iron Ingot

> (For any 3x3 recipe format: list materials in order—top-left to top-right; then middle; then bottom. Use 'empty' if a slot is blank.)

"Quartz crystals are obtained by smelting sand. One sand gives one quartz crystal."

> (Note: Quartz crystal is a private item in the Cyberpunk module. Oil, rubber, and rare element compounds are also custom items.)

Quartz crystals can be converted to regular quartz at a 1:1 ratio.

> (In vanilla Minecraft, smelting sand gives glass. This mod allows you to choose between glass or quartz crystal.)

"Oil is made by smelting coal—1 coal = 1 oil."

"Rubber comes from smelting wood—1 wood = 2 rubber."

"Rare element compounds are produced by smelting redstone dust—1:1 ratio."

"I only got about a stack of wood from scavenging—definitely not enough. But good news: the System recognizes shrubs as trees. I gathered 10 stacks that way—enough to get started."

"No worries about sand. I'll dig more if I run out."

"With these raw materials, I can start synthesizing primary materials. But I'll need blueprints... and a fabricator."

Adrian recalled everything he had read about the Cyberpunk module and sighed.

"Blueprints... another massive resource sink.
