Chapter 26 - Biggest Villain

Alex grabbed the mouse on the desk. Anger rippled through his veins. He threw it harshly against the wall, causing the mouse to crash into pieces. His chair slid backwards, falling down.

The loud sound made Eva cautious as she opened the door slowly. A small, nervous smile was there on her face while she peeked her head in slowly.

"Alex, am I disturbing you?"

Alex ran his hand through his hair and groaned. Then, he sighed and said, "Come in."

Eva walked over to Alex and stood in front of his line of sight. Then, she held a box of delicate pastry in her hand.

"Here," Eva said gently. "I got you your favorite blueberry cake. I lined up early in the morning to get my hands on this.

That's why, Alex, I hope you can eat this and get yourself back into shape. Alex, I know that you will be able to handle anything."

Alex's eyes softened. He took the box of pastry from her hand and sat back on the bed. He patted on the bed, and Eva was seated beside him.

"I just lost to someone I shouldn't lose to," Alex expressed, clenching his hand into a tight fist.

Eva extended her hand and placed her palm on his.

"It's alright. We all have moments we feel down. Maybe today wasn't your day. Next time, you will sure be beating their asses!" Eva expressed.

Finally, a smile formed on Alex's face. He extended his hand, pinching on her cheeks.

"You have such a sweet mouth. Thank you. I feel better," Alex stated.

There was an eagerness present in her voice as Eva brought up, "Alex, I want to learn how to game. Teach me when you have free time."

Alex looked surprised. "I didn't think you would be interested in gaming."

Leaning on his arm, she expressed, "I just want to bond with you more, Alex."

A sigh left her mouth. She lowered her line of sight. "After all, I have been away from this family, and there is so much gap between us, unlike Lily who is close to you. I don't want to feel like an outsider."

Alex's face contorted in disgust.

"How can you compare to her? You're our actual sister. Don't mention her name and ruin my mood. All the trouble she made before running away— she better never show up in front of me again!" Alex harshly commented.

Eva frowned.

"Don't say that. I am sure all of you're worried about her. I wonder where she is now. It has been two days already since she left," Eva voiced out her concern.

Alex scoffed. "She can die for all I care."

"Her suspension will be lifted tomorrow, and Lily has to bring her guardian. Should I tell mom and dad on her behalf? Although Lily is throwing a tantrum, she is in a difficult situation. We need to be more considerate towards her," Eva expressed.

"After that scandal, she should be ashamed to bring mom and dad in this mess. When have they faced something so humiliating? And wasn't she brave enough to run away? Let her handle it on her own!"

"But still, Alex, Lily will be sad. You should be by her side." Her tone was pitiful.

Alex took in a deep breath. "I am her older brother. I can still play the role of a guardian. I will tag along."

Eva smiled widely. "I knew you were kind and cared about her, Alex. You're just someone who has a hard time with her words. I hope Lily could see this."

Lillian stepped out of the internet café and went over to a store. Now that she no longer cared about presenting herself as a socialite, she was careless with her diet.

After paying for the chocolate, she took a bite out of it. The corner of her eyes curved up in joy as she savored it. On the way of returning to the store, Lillian heard noises in the alleyway.

She was about to ignore it when a familiar voice caused her to tilt her head back.

Sebastian grabbed the hand of a man, twisting it and throwing him on the ground. As he stepped on to his back, there was a gun in his hand, struck against the back of the man's hand.

There was a dark sinister glint in his eyes, serving as quite a contrast from his usual playful and careless expression.

"You know what happens to anyone who dares to cross me," Sebastian stated.

Lillian nonchalantly took another bite of the milk chocolate in her hand.

"No wonder he was a biggest villain," Lillian mumbled.

Treating this as none of her business, she was about to leave when Sebastian's sharp senses noticed her. He shot his head back to look at her.

Lillian's eyes widened immediately his came in contact with her.

Although Lillian wasn't afraid of him, she didn't have the strength to deal with him now. And in some cases, it is better to know less.

Raising her hand, she covered her eyes and muttered, "Ouch! My eyes hurt. Why can't I see anymore?"

After making sure her voice was loud enough for Sebastian, she tried to stumble her way out of there.

She hoped with this Sebastian would get the idea that she didn't plan to deal with him.

Seeing her act so silly with that cold face made the corner of Sebastian's lips rise in amusement.

He kicked the man away to his subordinate and silently instructed him to take care of him.

Then, he swiftly made over to Lillian. The metal gun was lifted, and he pressed it against her head.

The contact made Lillian freeze, but she still didn't remove her hands around her eyes.

"Did you know that the curiosity killed the cat, Miss Wild Rose?" Sebastian's voice was deeper than usual, holding a threatening intent.
