Chapter 566 - Chapter 566: Hu Liena’s Interruption

In the end, Dai Chengfeng simply held her quietly, savoring the serene intimacy of the moment.

Bibi Dong didn't resist either. She leaned back slightly, pressing herself closer to his warm embrace.

Neither spoke again, and the bedchamber was filled only with the sound of their steady breathing.

However, this tranquility did not last long.

"Knock, knock, knock—"

A soft yet clear knock on the door shattered the stillness of the night.

Bibi Dong's body stiffened instantly, almost reflexively reaching out to press down on Dai Chengfeng's wandering hand.

At the same time, she quickly turned her head and placed a slender finger over her lips, signaling Dai Chengfeng to remain silent…

A flicker of barely noticeable panic flashed in her violet eyes.

Dai Chengfeng immediately understood, halting all movements and even lightening his breathing.

Who would dare knock on the Supreme Pontiff's bedchamber door in the dead of night?

Bibi Dong took a deep breath, forcing her voice to sound calm and undisturbed, even adding a hint of irritation at being woken up, as she called out:

"Who is it?"

A tender yet respectful female voice came from outside: "Teacher, it's me."

The voice was unmistakably Hu Liena's, sweet and charming. Dai Chengfeng recognized it immediately.

Bibi Dong felt a slight relief but quickly tensed up again.

What could Hu Liena want at such a late hour?

She instinctively glanced at Dai Chengfeng, who was lying close behind her. Their eyes met, silently communicating their shared concerns…

Under no circumstances could they let Hu Liena discover that Dai Chengfeng was still in the Supreme Pontiff's bedchamber at this hour, especially while lying in bed in such an intimate position.

"Liena, what is it at this hour?"

Bibi Dong kept her tone steady, even deliberately adding a touch of drowsiness, as if she had just been awakened from sleep.

"I've already retired for the night. Unless it's urgent, we can discuss it tomorrow."

Hu Liena outside seemed to hesitate for a moment but then replied: "Teacher, forgive me for disturbing your rest."

"However… I do have something I'd like to ask you. May I… come in?"

Come in?!

Both Bibi Dong and Dai Chengfeng's hearts tightened simultaneously.

If she were to enter and see the scene before them, the consequences would be unimaginable. The Spirit Hall would erupt into chaos.

Bibi Dong immediately refused, her tone carrying an unyielding authority: "No need. Just speak from outside. It's inconvenient for me to get up and dress."

Hu Liena outside sounded somewhat disappointed but didn't dare disobey her teacher's command, replying, "Yes, Teacher."

She paused briefly, seemingly organizing her words, before asking. "Teacher, have you… seen Chengfeng since this evening?"

Inside the bedchamber.

Dai Chengfeng, lying behind Bibi Dong, raised an eyebrow slightly upon hearing his name mentioned by Hu Liena.

"Dai Chengfeng?"

Bibi Dong was also somewhat surprised.

"Yes," Hu Liena continued, "He returned from the Great Star Dou Forest earlier, saying he wanted to immediately come to pay his respects to you, Teacher."

"But… ever since he entered the Supreme Pontiff's Hall, no one has seen him since."

"I've searched everywhere he usually goes, but there's no trace of him."

"This guy… I don't know where he's gone. It's really worrying."

Her tone carried obvious concern and a faint undertone of complaint, clearly indicating she had spent considerable effort searching for Dai Chengfeng.

Upon hearing this, Bibi Dong's heart tightened slightly at first, but soon, an indescribable warmth, tinged with sweetness, swept through her.

Dai Chengfeng hadn't lied to her.

After returning, he hadn't even gone back to his own quarters, coming straight to her instead.

This prioritization and urgency reassured her, easing the slight tension caused by Hu Liena's late-night search. It even sparked a secret joy within her.

She subtly turned her head, glancing at Dai Chengfeng out of the corner of her eye, only to meet his mischievous, triumphant gaze, as if silently saying:

"See, Teacher? I told you—I'm thinking only of you."

Unable to resist, Bibi Dong shot him a subtle glare, signaling him to behave, before clearing her throat and responding to Hu Liena outside:

"I've seen Chengfeng."

"Oh? Teacher, you've seen him? Where is he now?"

Hu Liena's voice immediately carried a note of urgency.

Bibi Dong remained composed, smoothly delivering the excuse she had prepared: "He did come to pay his respects."

"However, I noticed his cultivation had improved significantly, so I assigned him to handle a confidential matter."

"This concerns the secrets of the Spirit Hall. You don't need to inquire further about the details."

Her explanation was flawless, accounting for Dai Chengfeng's whereabouts, using the "confidential matter" to block any further questioning from Hu Liena, and subtly implying that Dai Chengfeng might have already left the Supreme Pontiff's Hall.

"A confidential matter?"

Hu Liena's tone revealed skepticism. "Is it that urgent? Not even time to say hello?"

Meanwhile, Dai Chengfeng, lying behind Bibi Dong, saw that the crisis seemed temporarily resolved. With his teacher so close and her fragrant form in his arms, his previously suppressed mischief resurfaced.

Taking advantage of Bibi Dong's focus on dealing with Hu Liena outside, his previously well-behaved hand began to wander again.

His fingertips, burning with heat, slowly and provocatively traced along the smooth skin of her abdomen…

"Mmm…"

Bibi Dong, fully focused on handling Hu Liena, was caught off guard by this sudden assault, her body trembling involuntarily.

She bit her lower lip hard, her cheeks instantly flushing red with both anger and embarrassment. She turned her head sharply to glare at Dai Chengfeng, her eyes filled with warning.

You little rascal!

You're getting bolder and bolder! Don't you realize what time it is?!

Dai Chengfeng, however, ignored her warning glare and, taking advantage of the moment, leaned closer to gently peck her earlobe, which had reddened slightly from her tension.

Wearing a mischievous grin of triumph, he silently mouthed:

"Teacher, carry on with your story."

Bibi Dong was furious enough to hit him, but she dared not make too much noise. She could only grip his misbehaving wrist tightly, trying to pull it away.

But Dai Chengfeng's arm was like an iron clamp, and she couldn't break free immediately. Under the covers, an intense yet silent "struggle" unfolded between them.

Outside the door, Hu Liena seemed to have heard that faint moan and asked hesitantly:

"Teacher? Are you alright? Are you feeling unwell?"

Startled, Bibi Dong quickly suppressed the unusual sensations coursing through her body, forcing her voice to remain steady and normal, even adding a touch of annoyance at being interrupted:

"I'm fine… just a bit thirsty."

"Nana, you don't need to worry about Chengfeng. He'll return once he finishes his task."

"If there's nothing else urgent, you may leave. I need to rest."

She needed to end this conversation as soon as possible. Who knew what other outrageous actions this unruly little devil behind her might take next?
