Synopsis
In a world where gods, known as Celestia—rule over fate itself, humanity teeters on the edge of extinction. These immortal beings created elves, devils, vampires, dragons, and more by bestowing fragments of their divine life force. Yet, they fear and despise one race above all: humans, whose untapped potential threatens to surpass even the gods. Shiro (Seeker), a young man ignorant of his true origin, sets out on a path of vengeance after his family is slaughtered by the Celestia. But as he uncovers buried truths and forgotten history, he realizes that revenge is only the beginning. In Essential Fate, the line between god and mortal blurs, and the world’s destiny lies in the hands of those brave enough to defy fate itself.

Chapter 1 - Prologue part 1: Transmigration of Unknown

Ahh... what's happening? I can't move. My eyes are open, but all I see is darkness. Pure, suffocating darkness.

What happened to me? I was just in my room, reading a novel like usual. Nothing special. No accidents, no weird dreams—hell, I didn't even feel sick. I just... dozed off.

And now I'm here. Wherever "here" is.

Don't tell me I died? That's ridiculous. People don't just die for no reason, right?

He tried to move even a finger. Anything. But his body refused. It was as if he no longer existed. No weight. No warmth. Just... floating.

Then, without warning, his body began to fade—dissolving into the air like smoke in the wind.

"Someone help! I don't wanna die this young! I haven't even gotten married yet!" he screamed, voice cracking with panic.

The world around him warped—then silence. Darkness.

When he opened his eyes again… he wasn't himself anymore.

His vision adjusted to soft, golden light filtering through towering trees. He looked down—his hands weren't his own. His body was clothed in elegant robes that shimmered with divine symbols, the kind you'd only see on gods in myths.

What the hell...?

He turned, and what he saw took his breath away: a world of beauty beyond imagination. Giant trees that scraped the skies, vibrant beasts roaming freely, birds with wings like stained glass flying through the canopy. It was like stepping into the pages of a fantasy novel.

"This… this feels like one of those fantasy worlds you read about. Don't tell me—did I transmigrate into someone else's body?" he muttered, still stunned.

But then, he looked down.

His heart dropped.

"This is… blood?" he whispered.

The ground—soaked. A wide stretch of earth is completely drenched in crimson. Puddles. Smears. Trails. Everywhere. Blood.

What the hell happened here? Is something wrong with this world...?

Instinct took over. He turned and bolted. But as he ran, something felt off—no, too right. His legs moved faster than any human's should.

This speed… this isn't normal.

A wild thought crossed his mind. If I can run like this… can I… fly?

And with that thought, his form lifted, his feet leaving the ground. No wings, no special equipment—just raw power. He hovered, rising with the wind, his body floating higher, effortlessly gliding through the air.

He felt weightless. Bound by nothing.

And in the blink of an eye, he was soaring—the Realm of the Gods now within reach.

As his eyes took in the grandeur of the Realm of the Gods, a surge of unfamiliar memories flooded his mind—echoes from the life of the body he now inhabited.

Visions of war. Of betrayal. Of blood.

He gritted his teeth as it all became clear.

"No way... This man—this body—he was the God of Darkness. And he died in the war… betrayed by his own kind."

The gods had used him like a weapon—unleashed him against the humans—and when he was no longer needed, they let him die. Discarded. Forgotten.

How pitiful. How cruel.

A twisted grin formed on his lips."I get it now. This... this is my fate. I was brought here to finish what he couldn't. To avenge him."

He raised his hand, dark energy pulsing through his veins like wildfire."I'll bring ruin to this world—gods, humans, every last race. None of you is innocent."

He looked up toward the heavens."I swear on the soul of the God of Darkness… I'll burn everything to the ground. You gave me this body, this power—now watch what I do with it."

"I'll master this power. Forge an army. And when I return… not even the heavens will be safe."

"You wanted a god of darkness? You've got one now."

Without another word, he turned from the skies of the divine realm and descended, vanishing into the depths of an ancient forest. There, beneath roots and stone, he entered a cavern swallowed in shadow.

"This power… It's too raw. Too unstable. I need time to awaken it fully. Years… maybe centuries."

He stepped into the heart of the cave, his voice echoing through the stone like a curse.

"Luckily for me... I'm in a god's body now. That means I'm immortal. Time means nothing."

With that, he let his form melt into the darkness, becoming one with it. A silent shadow, hidden from the world.

Waiting.
