Chapter 4 - Into The Trap

Kenobi was already out in space, getting closer to the planet. He was already briefed on the details before taking a small freighter from Senator Organa. He took it, going to the last location his old friend was last seen by using a tracker that was used to find Vos's ship.

The freighter was still miles away from the circle of a planet. He began navigating, flipping switches to land safely, and not being detected. Right now there were no Imperials in the sky, but Obi-Wan was not going to take any chances, which is why he was being careful. He already caught himself staring at his lightsaber, still unsure if the former Jedi Master can even use it anymore. He had tried to communicate with his old Master through the force in hopes for guidance, but Qui-Gon had not answered, which left nothing, but a knot in his stomach. For the first time in a decade, he had a bad feeling about this. Something had felt wrong, and he was going to need his full strength to survive whatever he encounters on his travels.

Obi-Wan was right in front of the planet, getting closer by the minute. He flipped his lower switch to prepare for his landing. The Greenland area was filled with the forest. Obi-Wan couldn't see where he could land. He stroked his beard, wondering where he should go. He looked at the navigation in his scanners, he was close, but he still needed to find somewhere to land.

It was hard to see with the trees blinding his windows. Obi-Wan was smart, he slowly brought the freighter through the trees, finding the spot he needed.

The freighter landed on the ground, allowing Obi-Wan to step out, and onto the ground. He picked up the tracker, following the compass that would take him towards his friend's ship, but not before he raised his hood, making sure no one would see him, and threw the poncho over his lower plain clothes, so he couldn't be seen carrying his lightsaber. He continued to follow the path he was set on.

Obi-Wan was walking through the long grass that was planted on the ground. He could feel the peace surrounding the area, but he knew better after stumbling towards a dead body. It was one of the troopers that had belonged to the Empire, there were also a couple more ahead. Obi-Wan knew he was on the right path, he just had to get there, and find Quinlans ship, so he could erase memory of anything that could lead back to the Organas, or anything the Empire might get their hands on, after that, he would find, and rescue his old friend. The two had gone way back when they were younglings, but those were much simpler times, now they are fugitives on the run.

Obi-Wan still didn't know what to expect, so he kept his hand where his blaster was, still paranoid about this, which he had a reason for. He thought something was coming his way, but it turned out to be an inhabitant that lived on this world. The creature glares at the strange man it sees, but runs away through the grass. Obi-Wan let out a breath of relief, but he still had to be cautious, not knowing what would come his way. As he kept walking, the wind had suddenly let out a breeze, the clouds were suddenly blocking the sun, making it colder for the former Jedi.

Obi-Wan had tightened his body together to stay warm while still having the compass in one of his hands, he was close by, not sure why, but he had a feeling.

Kenobi used his hands to brush away the long green grass in his way. He saw a red object in front of him. He sped walked towards what he was seeing. The engine was damaged on the back. Small flames were coming out, but not enough to attract attention. That is when he realized this must have belonged to Master Quinlan Vos. Obi-Wan quickly opened the door in the pilot area. He looked at his log to see if there was anything important, but it was already erased. His guest was that Quinlan had already erased everything from the records, but he was still missing.

"Stop right there" a voice called out. Obi-Wan looked behind him, it was a stormtrooper, he had his blaster pointed at him. The trooper had repeated himself, but Obi-Wan had his hands up. He stepped over, putting an underhook before throwing him down. Another set of stormtroopers comes their way, making Obi-Wan take out his blaster to shoot at them before running. He started sprinting in the grass hard away from the troopers, as he tried to find the path towards his ship to get off this rock of a planet. He shot at the white armor that was shown brushing their way through the grass.

Obi-Wan made it to his freighter, about to get in, but it was shut down by a rocket. He turned his head. A trooper was about to prepare to launch his rocket launcher, but Obi-Wan slowly twitched his fingers to use the force, causing the launcher to explode, killing the stormtroopers that were in the way. He then made his way towards the forest after shooting the remaining troopers that were in his way. The rest from the upcoming shuttle came out to chance him.

Obi-Wan found himself running through the forest, being chased again. The transports, and waves of stormtroopers continued their pursuit of him, but he managed to hide behind a tree, his blaster in his hand. He looked down at his cloak, glaring at the lightsaber still on his belt.

Obi-Wan took a deep breath, hearing the sounds of the Empire still in pursuit of him. He waited for the first chance he got before running. A stormtrooper had spotted him before he, and the rest of the Empire started to launch blaster fire at him.

Obi-Wan ducked, and ran faster to avoid being hit. He looked in their direction, delivering shots at them. He then turned back, and began running again, using his training to avoid being hit. He stopped when he was towards a cliff, almost fell to if he didn't stop himself for another second.

The stormtroopers all stopped where he was, surrounding Kenobi, who all had their weapons trained at him. Obi-Wan stood frozen, he was lucky he still had his hood up, or they would most likely shoot him if he was recognized as a Jedi. He looked down behind him where the cliff was. There was a water stream floating on the river. He then looked back at the troopers who all still had their weapons pointing at him. Obi-Wan bit his lip, not having anywhere else to go. He slowly took a back step towards the edge. The stormtroopers didn't move, instead of firing, they warned Kenobi not to move. Obi-Wan did it anyway, taking a backstep that was sending him down towards the river. Stormtroopers ran up, starting to rain blaster fire at him. One of them hit Kenobi on the left arm, causing him to fall hard on the water, making a splash.

Obi-Wan was able to pick himself back up, still being shot at by the Empire, however is able to avoid the hits despite his injury. He swam, as fast as he could, but he was approaching the end of the river. He then heard a thud, as the tank started to aim at the river, causing the shockwave to knock Obi-Wan back, as he fell down the stream.

The stormtroopers marched down the hill, looking for a body, but nothing was seen. They looked at each other before nodding, and leaving.

Obi-Wan opened his eyes in the water, gasping for air, as he came up the water, breathing heavily. He found himself panting, exhausted from the chase, so he moved his good arm to swim away before he was caught. Obi-Wan had reached for the surface, still breathing heavily, as he threw up water that had gotten into his mouth. He turned his head to see a blaster pointing at his face, but he couldn't tell who was with the bright light flashing at his face, but he could see it was with the hood covering himself. He noticed familiar armor, but couldn't figure out who with his head spinning.

Obi-Wan struggled to stay awake, which collapsed. The hooded man kneeled down before the unconscious Obi-Wan, and removed his hood. It was just a man with tan skin with a cut on the side of his forehead. He removed Obi-Wan's hood showing his face, making the man give a slight smirk, "It is good to see you General"
