Month 2, Day 7
Location: Brooklet Hill
Time: 12:00 PM
It has been two days of exploring, and we have completed both routes 5 and 6. There weren't any new Pokémon I had seen except Formantis; although it looks like a bug type, it's a pure grass-type Pokémon. Now I am at Brooklet Hill, the place where we can obtain Waterium Z. I am currently walking to the location where it is conducted.
I have already informed my Pokémon about the battle I will have today. While walking down the shores and ponds near the trail area, I am now standing near the shore with a fishing rod. Yes, you heard me right: a fishing rod. According to Professor Kukui, this place is where a certain item can be found. Yes, it's Wimpod. Its evolved form is one of my top 10 bug Pokémon.
My top ten are Genesect, Kleavor, Beedrill, Golisopod, Scizor, Volcarona, Heracross, Orbeetle, Galvantula, and Leavanny.
Also, I don't dislike Butterfree or Vikavolt; it's just that these ten are my personal favourites. But that won't change the fact that I love my Pokémon because Pokémon are creatures like dogs—the more sincere you are, the more sincere they will be.
'Wait, something grabbed my hook,' I thought while pulling it up. There was a bit of force on the line, making me worry whether the rod would break. Still, I continued to pull. To me, it was a Feebas. I shook my head and let it go; it was the fourth Pokémon I had caught today.
'Seems like luck is not on my side," I thought as I tossed the bait again.
I waited for three minutes before I contemplated quitting and heading to the trail of Z-Crystals.
Suddenly, something tugged on my bait again, so I pulled the rod with all my strength. The Pokémon that emerged this time caught me by surprise.
It had a black body with six purple legs; three helped it stand while the other three covered the bubble around its head. It also had red eyes.
It was a Dewpider; not just any Dewpider—it was a shiny Dewpider. Without any delay, I used my aurasight to assess its potential. It had a green level potential.
I think I know who my fourth Pokémon will be.

At the campsite where Professor Kukui and Mr. Bramble are staying,
"Hey, Richard, you still haven't told me why you brought this kid with us?" Prof. Kukui asked his friend while reflecting on the remarkable acts Evan had accomplished over the past two weeks.
Hearing Kukui's question, Richard didn't respond immediately; he kept gazing at the sky, lost in thought.
"He just reminded me of someone," replied Richard.
"Who?" Kukui questioned.
Flashback
15 years ago
A younger boy, around 15 or 14, could be seen running through a forest as if he were fleeing from something. A flock of Spearow was pursuing him; he didn't know what to do other than run, as he wasn't strong enough to confront the group of Spearow on his own.
As if by fate or exhaustion, he fell to the ground; as if triggered, every Spearow moved toward him.
Just when he thought his life was over, he heard a voice say,
"Scizor, agility then bullet punch."
Suddenly, a red blur darted past him and struck the Spearow that was about to attack him, then hit the next Spearow with its other hand.
"Follow it with brick break." The Scizor obeyed the command and struck the other three Pokémon. A single blow from the Scizor knocked one of the Pokémon unconscious.
'Elite level Pokémon,' the boy thought as he gazed at the Scizor.
Seeing their companions fall, the Spearow grew frightened and, after squawking at the Scizor a few times, they flew away.
"Are you alright?" a female voice inquired.
The boy looked back to see a woman with blonde hair and brown eyes walking toward him. She wore a black jacket over a white t-shirt and black shorts, approaching him slowly.
Now
"Richard, Richard!" Kukui called out to Richard, who was pulled from his memories.
"What?" Richard replied.
"Who does he remind you of?" Kukui asked.
"A friend," Richard replied.
"Hmm... Friend, huh? Are you sure? Because it sounds like there's some secret you had with someone," Kukui asked with a sly grin on his face.
"I wish," Richard said with a sad smile.
