For centuries, Hell has waited in the shadows, licking its wounds after its greatest defeat. The Seven Deadly Sins have begun to awaken once more, their power reshaping the balance between Heaven, Hell, and Earth. Among them, two unsuspecting souls—Kaito, a demon raised in the sanctuary of a temple, and Tomia, a girl who has only ever known the world's cruelty—find themselves at the heart of a prophecy that could shatter the universe. As war looms and their destinies unfold, they must decide: will they be the weapons of destruction, or the last hope for something greater?
The natural state of the World is war and survival–for what is better purpose to have for life? Other than survival while you fight for something you cling onto.
That goes to all living creatures, animals and humans alike.
But before the rise of humanity, before the first human blood was spilled. There was a War of something far greater and of power humans could only dream of, was a war not of Kings or Conquerors, but a war of the Divine and the Damned. A brutal conflict between Heaven and Hell, Angels and Demons…or as some might say, conflict between Good and Evil.
But war is not all black and white, no.
To the Demons it was a war to get out of the pits of hell, from their prison made only for them.
And to the Angels it was a war to beat back these rebellious creations who had dared go against God's plan.
Only a select few knew the truth behind this war, and none dared speak it.
At the center of it all was one man, a fallen Archangel and the third most oldest being in the universe. Samael Lightbringer, or as most call him nowdays–Lucifer Morningstar.
In the days before the war Lucifer was an Archangel, 2nd highest of the order right behind his older brother, Michael.
During the first days Lucifer was known as a rebellious spirit, many looked down on him for his erratic actions born of the moment, unlike the more common calculated actions of his peers that served the Grand Design.
But many also looked up to him, for his autonomy and desire to be free.
Among those who looked up to him, six stood out as his biggest followers. Angels known as Beelzebub, Asmodeus, Pandora, Belphegor, Satan and Leviathan.
With six of them and Lucifer at the Head these seven would be eventually known as the Seven Deadly Sins, Archdemons.
After Lucifer's first failed Rebellion in Heaven, Lucifer was cast down to hell for his actions, along with all of his followers.
For these beings Hell was created, God spared all their lives but bound them to a prison far from the luxury of Heaven.
Far after the Archangel's fall from Greatness. First humans were created, and Lucifer sown seeds of discord onto their creation, granting them his free will.
With this, Humans did as they desired, both creations of God and the Devil himself. Some acted in the name of god and some Sinned.
Those who Sinned were cast down to hell, just as Lucifer had planned.
Sinners were reborn in hell as demons with each having a power bigger than before. Together the Sinners and beings born in hell made the forces of hell grow in numbers that far surpassed heaven's forces. Lucifer, filled with Envy of Heaven and God, desired what they lacked in hell, and began the first war between Heaven and Hell, the conflict that Humans never got to see, or hear. Many died in this conflict, and among those who died were some of the Deadly Sins, only Lucifer and Pandora remained. Ultimately, hell lost the war and were forced down into hell yet again, demoralised and furious.
This turn of Events turned hell into a chaotic landscape, where all beings strived to be the most powerful and fought among each other, but all bowed to the Devil, nobody could match his power…or so they thought..
Centuries passed, humanity evolved, their so-called Messiah and Savior born and Crucified, "Died for their sins" humans liked to say. A pathetic excuse for their own mistake, for throwing away their only salvation…on that day, gates of Heaven shut closed and sealed. Nobody would enter, and only a few would be allowed to leave. Humans since then only fought more and Hell losing access to its long standing enemy sought blood, thus Hell struck on Earth demons bloodthirsty enough would venture into the lands of humans and preyed on them, apex predators in a hunting ground, hunting for prey that could not defend itself, humans cried for help to god. But none came, for humanity had thrown away it's only savior, humans were losing hope, until one day a Priest in Medieval times believed that Humanity had to save itself, his name was St.Peter. He came up with a formula that could create blessed metal, that could hopefully cut through the skin of demons, as no weapon up until this day could even mark a demon's flesh…let alone hurt it.
But with this Humans had a chance–of sorts, but even then the Human's most elite could barely stand against the most common of Demons, even the weakest of demons were twice as strong and twice as fast as humans, while humans had a hard time cutting through the flesh of demons, demons cut through flesh like hot knife through butter, and through armor like scissors through paper. Luckily for humans, the stronger and smarter of demons, knew that wiping out humanity would be a loss in their own books, so they didn't waste their time, for a single Overlord class demon could tear down cities and castles alone and a single Deadly Sin…could wipe out all of earth all alone. But even then some couldn't help but spread fear and despair into human hearts by showing their full powers, it kept humans in check and made them lose faith even more, making them turn to sin more. And humanity even then, fought among each other and for what? Simple Sins, and it only fed the monsters they so feared.
During these times a group that still lasts to this day rose up to fight Demons, to learn their tactics, to protect humans from evil, a Mercenary group known as the Demon Hunting Company.
This group learned best on how to fight demons, and spread its influence across the world, and brought itself to the modern era. Where they still hold onto swords and spears…but also firearms as they are introduced and prove better to fight off demons, though…they are not as damaging to demons as they'd be on humans as the impact and pressure inflicted upon demon flesh–if it hits, is minimal, so even though this the DHC prefers to fight with Melee weapons, to cause as much damage and to bring down demons as fast as they can.
Nowadays, the demon attacks are getting more frequent as more and more demons appear and hell, and more and more of them thirst for blood, be it from their human days or if they're just a hellborn hungry for some action. DHC became a worldwide figure, funded by every military in the world, or at least by those willing to pay the tribute. Demon Hunter soldiers are trained from a young age in dedicated academies to ensure their combat capability.
Demons on the other hand grow more powerful as most of the Deadly Sins have re-emerged, in new shapes and bodies. The Deadly sin of Envy, Lucifer a tall blond and enchanting man with emerald eyes that pierces the soul, carries himself with grace as the Devil. By his side usually stands Pandora, the Deadly Sin of Greed. Compared to him she looks younger, about a girl in her 20's with a petite figure, she has pink hair braided into a long braid that reaches down to her butt. She wears a short black dress adorned with red ribbons and golden buttons. Her magenta eyes scanned everything around her with a slight smirk on her face. Then there is the Deadly Sin of Lust, Rose Mary a girl in her Early 20's in looks, with crimson long hair that reaches down to the floor and drags a little behind her, wearing more 20th century style clothing from the 50's. With a white sweater and a Black long skirt. With her blue eyes and a soft look behind them, she carries herself with grace and draws the look of all who gaze upon her beauty. Then there is Deadly Sin of Gluttony, Alamir Kaga a tall and imposing woman in her 30's with raven black hair and a curvy figure, stands out among the deadly sins with 3 horns on each side of the top of her head curving backwards, only slightly curving upwards at the tip and a serpentine tail reaching from the bottom of her spine, dressed in a black suit that wraps around her torso and a bit down to her thighs. Leaving little to be imagined, most still covered by a leather black jacket, her crimson red eyes filled with confidence. And lastly the Deadly sin of Sloth, Ivan a large man covered in a large duster coat that reaches to the floor, a brimmed hat on his head and glasses on his eyes. Covering as much as possible, opposite to Alamir…leaving much to be imagined. The rest of the Deadly Sins, still unaccounted for…but for how long? That may soon change for this is their story and a new age is soon about to begin, a dark age for humanity, age of reckoning for hell and age of turning tides for Heaven.
Among the chaotic landscape of hell, jagged rocks of obsidian, bursting volcanoes and steam from the ground, lay a few settlements built for the denizens of hell, amidst the largest of those at the top of a hill stands a palace. Made of black and red bricks, with arching columns holding up balconies and roofings, at a grand window overlooking the vast expanse of hell stands Lucifer in a neat office, the walls half black and half white, made of marble. The floor is jet black and almost glass-like, reflecting the light from a chandelier that lights up the room with dark fire lit at the top of the candles that sit upon it. In the middle of the room stands a big table of dark red wood with carvings that pulse with red light, almost as if breathing, and at the table is a leather armchair made of red leather, fit for the king of hell himself. The room is silent, except for the slight humming of an unknown song coming from Lucifer who stands over the window overlooking hell with his hands at his pondering face.
The silence and hum is abruptly broken by the sound of footsteps clapping across the floor, as into the room steps Pandora, who graciously stands in the room, observing Lucifer with a curious look on her dimly illuminated figure.
"Lost in thought again brother? You've been looming out of that window more and more lately."
Pandora says and chuckles to herself a little as she takes a few steps forwards.
Lucifer turns to her with a soft smile at his face as he walks over to the table and takes a seat, not paying much attention to Pandora, he pick up a glass of something that looks to be wine that was on his table, he twirls it a little in his hand as he then gazes at Pandora, letting out a soft sigh.
"The activity on earth is getting more and more stronger, how can I not be lost in thought with so much going on my dear sister?"
He says, a playful smirk appearing on his face as he takes a gentle sip from the glass. All the while Pandora looks at him quite confused.
"I ask you that every week expecting a clear answer, and you always answer the same. You really can't make the answer less clear can you? Wouldn't hurt you to explain to me why you bother yourself with Earth so much lately, considering it's been thousands of years since you've shown any interest in it."
Pandora scoffs and crosses her arms, visibly upset by her brother's answer that does not answer her question well enough to satisfy it. She gently taps her foot on the floor through the frustration and takes a step closer, peering at Lucifer. Lucifer on the other hand just shrugs and smiles as he places the glass of wine back onto the desk before resting his elbows on the table and his head upon his hands as he looks up at Pandora. Before speaking.
"I know you wanna know everything before it comes to be, but you need not worry Pandora" Lucifer says and abruptly stands up, walking around the desk as he places his hand onto Pandora's head as a brother would to his younger sister before giving her a head pat. "Soon all your questions will answer themselves, sooner than you can imagine…but later than you'd hope. But…I'll say that much is about to change, on Earth first, then in hell…and in just the right time–Heaven too!"
Lucifer proclaims with a booming voice, filling the room and the hallway just outside his door. Taking a deep breath before letting go of Pandora's head, not before ruffling her hair up a little.
"Lucifer, I swear if you're planning another attack on heaven–" Her voice gets quickly cut off by Lucifer who glares at her.
"Do not, bring up the past. I feel like I made myself clear the many times I said it before. Present is not the past and I learned from my mistakes"
Lucifer scowled and glared at Pandora with a bit of a spark of fire in his eyes, his tone changing from soft and playful to a much more rough and serious.
Pandora, unthreatened by Lucifer, glares back at him with an unamused look on her face as she sighs and shakes her head.
"Not sure Luci, did you really learn from your mistakes? You're clearly still thirsting for the golden throne in Heaven and still wanna avenge the others, but as you know that won't get us anywhere cause we've already tried that before didn't we? You're dead set on Heaven ever since the day you were banished and now that you had a vision about Wrath and Pride coming back as calamities for heaven your ego has outgrown you, hell we don't even know who, where and when we'll even get to see them and you're already thinking of going back to the pearly gates, knocking on it and asking politely to give up heaven just because you have two scary demons backing you up." She said with a stern voice as she walked past Lucifer and pointed her index finger up to Lucifer's throat and a claw would come out in a grotesque way nearly touching Lucifer's skin. "And don't try your intimidation tactics on me, both you and me know well enough I could defeat you, and you need me–so cool down and stop bossing me around, you should already know that I won't bow to you anymore, and you know why."
Lucifer lets out a deep sigh as he glares down at his sister, the fire in his eyes still remaining as he breaks the eye contact between her and him and just walks back to his chair, plopping down onto it as he gestures to Pandora to leave. She stares at him for a second before leaving a smug look slowly creeping up to her face, in her head she just beat him. Pandora walks out of the room and closes the door behind her, outside the waited a girl with purple hair that reached down to her Shoulders with stern crimson red eyes and dressed in a classic maid outfit, as Pandora stepped out this girl bowed to her quickly. Pandora looked down at her with a sigh and waved her hand palm up to gesture to her to be at ease, before saying.
"Ease up Klara, please accompany me to my room, during the walk let me please know of the report on others and general hell report" Pandora said and started walking, the clanking of her heels on the floor echoing through the hallways as Klara gently started walking behind her just after raising her head. And then she began speaking with a melodic voice that eases the ears.
'My Lady, hell appears to be in a good condition, in the last month we've apparently gained another thousand Sinners. The chaos from last year's attempted rebellion has fully calmed down as the streets appear to be rid of those who dare oppose the Deadly Sins, Lady Lust is on a trip to Brittany on Earth, recharging her blood stocks, due to her expanding a great amount of magic not long ago, Lady Gluttony is visiting the 3rd Ring of Hell, apparently there is a big turf war happening between a few Overlords and she felt quite hungry, Lord Sloth is in his room sleeping, you have no meetings for today but the Overseer wanted to talk to you about what to do with Lucina and Mari. She's run out of tasks for them this month and is clueless as to what to do with them for the rest of it, oh and news from Earth is that there has been some powerful demonic presence released just last night."
Pandora throughout all this was just nodding along, nothing new just the normal run of the mill routine for the day, but something caught her ear.
"Powerful demonic presence you say? Quite curious, I assume it wasn't just a common Overlord…considering you're calling it powerful, any identification yet? Or more details?"
Pandora said and stopped in her tracks before facing Klara.
"Yes my Lady, it far outpaces most Overlords and could be quite an interesting subject, as to where it was located. Apparently somewhere in Northern Japan mountains, in one of the DHC facilities. A demon of immense power has torn through it and escaped its containment" Klara said with a slight smile, knowing that this could be great news for the Deadly Sins overall.
Pandora would clasp her own hands together and like a giddy child would playfully jump up once in the spot.
"Wonderful!" She said with a big glee on her face as she turned back to walking.
"Send scouts to observe this demon, in regards to the Overseer, let her know to give Lucina and Mari a vacation for a week. Those girls deserve it, and if she complains let her know that it's an order and I won't take any excuses from her."
Klara gave a bit of a worried look on her face, giving away the fact that she's not exactly happy with telling the Overseer to give them a vacation due to how strict she is on their service to the Seven Deadly Sins, often giving them even very little to sleep, making them sure that all rooms are pristine clean, to the point that even a single speck of dust could get them scolded. But an order from the Lady Greed is an Order that I must obey no matter how mad the Overseer might get, Klara thought to herself.
"Y-Yes ma'am, I shall relay the order to the overseer and let Lucina and Mari know of their vacation" Then Klara gives a slight bow to Pandora and hurriedly walks away. Leaving Pandora at the door to her room, after noticing that they had arrived.
Pandora stood in the hallway for a second and looked out of the window with a soft smile. Thinking to herself "Now I know what Lucifer was talking about…he found out about the Powerful Demonic activity."
