Chapter 10: First Big Attack

Srabon paced back and forth in the village square, his jaw clenched. The system notification still flashed before his eyes.

[Warning: Incoming Goblin Raid in 10 Minutes!]

The Builder ran up to him, breathless. "They're coming. This is the biggest raid yet."

Srabon turned to the troops assembled before him — Barbarians, Archers, and even a few hastily constructed traps. Mira stood at the front, her bow gripped tightly.

"Listen up!" Srabon shouted. "The Goblins are coming, and they're bringing more troops than ever. We can't let them take the village."

The troops nodded, their eyes burning with resolve.

[Quest: Defend the Village Against a Massive Goblin Raid. Reward: 800 Gold, 500 Elixir.]

Srabon positioned the Barbarians at the front, armed with reinforced clubs. The Archers took to the higher ground, arrows notched and ready.

The ground began to shake. From the tree line, goblins poured forth, waving crude swords and snarling with vicious intent. Behind them, a massive Goblin wielding a spiked club stomped forward — a Goblin Chief.

"Archers, fire!" Srabon commanded.

Arrows whistled through the air, striking the first wave of goblins. But the Goblin Chief barreled forward, swatting Barbarians aside like flies.

"Builder! Get the traps ready!" Srabon shouted.

The Builder nodded, pulling a lever. Wooden spikes shot up from the ground, impaling several goblins. The Chief roared, staggering back but still standing.

Mira fired arrow after arrow, each shot aimed at the Goblin Chief's eyes. One arrow struck true, hitting the Chief's shoulder. The massive goblin roared in pain, stumbling backward.

"Now, Barbarians! Charge!" Srabon yelled.

The Barbarians surged forward, surrounding the Goblin Chief and striking with all their might. The Chief swung wildly, knocking several down, but the combined effort was too much. With one final roar, the Chief fell, crashing to the ground.

[Quest Complete. Reward Claimed: 800 Gold, 500 Elixir.]

Srabon dropped to his knees, breathing heavily. The ground was littered with goblin bodies and fallen troops. But the village still stood.

The Builder approached, clapping Srabon on the back. "You did it, Chief. We did it."

Srabon nodded, eyes still fixed on the horizon. The Goblin King wouldn't take this defeat lightly.
