Chapter 2 - Ethan

How everything was started .

One day

Serina was walking with 6 books for her new project, but one book fell down because she could hold it with her small body and she couldn't bend too .

She have seen Ethan so may times ,it was the first time she spoke to her that day .

Ethan picked it up.

Ethan: "You dropped this."

Serina: "Oh… thank you."

Ethan smiled.

Ethan: "Be careful."

He walked away.

Serina stood there, staring after him.

Serina: "Why am I smiling?"

A few days later, she struggled to reach a book in the library.

She jumped.

Nothing.

She jumped again.

Still nothing.

Ethan: "Need some help?"

Serina froze.

Serina: "I… no. I mean....yes."

Ethan reached the book easily and handed it to her.

Ethan: "Here."

Serina: "Thank you."

Ethan: "You're welcome."

He walked away.

Serina watched him disappear between the shelves.

Then she quietly hugged the book against her chest.

Serina: "This is bad…"

From that day, she started noticing him everywhere.

His kindness.

His smile.

His blue eyes.

The way he helped classmates.

The way he never laughed at her height.

She didn't know he was the chairman's grandson.

She didn't know his family was powerful.

She only knew one thing.

Serina liked Ethan.

And unfortunately…

There was one problem .

Ryan Henderson

Ryan appeared beside her one day with his usual mischievous grin.

Ryan: "Omy, cutie pie!"

Serina slowly turned toward him.

She glared.

Ryan: "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Serina: "Because you're annoying."

Ryan: "Wow. Cruel."

Serina rolled her eyes and walked away.

Ryan followed.

Ryan: "Wait! Cutie pie, I'm sorry!"

Serina: "Stop calling me that."

Ryan: "Okay, okay. Sorry."

Serina: "Good."

Ryan smiled.

Ryan: "So… why were you staring at Ethan?"

Serina stopped walking.

Her face immediately turned red.

Serina: "I wasn't."

Ryan: "You definitely were."

Serina: "I said I wasn't!"

Ryan laughed.

Serina: "Ryan…"

Ryan: "Fine, fine. I won't say anything."

But his mischievous smile suggested otherwise.

Serina didn't know it yet.

That conversation would soon change everything.
