Chapter 3 - Ryan

After 6 months at present.

She was looking for Ethan.

Serina: "Where is he…?"

She carried a notebook, her diary, some medicine, and a few snacks in her arms.

She turned the corner

Ryan suddenly came running from the opposite direction.

Ryan: "Serina!"

BAM!

He accidentally crashed into her.

Serina: "Ah!"

Everything fell from her hands.

The notebook hit the ground.

The snacks scattered.

The medicine rolled across the pavement.

And her diary landed directly in front of Ryan.

Ryan immediately bent down.

Ryan: "Oh my God! Serina, I'm sorry!"

Serina: "Ryan!"

She hurried to collect everything.

But Ryan's eyes had already fallen on the medicine.

He picked it up.

Ryan: "Mycomune?"

Serina froze.

Serina: "Give that to me."

Ryan looked at the label again.

Ryan: "Why are you carrying medicine?"

Serina: "It's nothing."

She quickly reached for it.

Ryan handed it over.

Then his eyes moved to the diary.

Ryan: "Oh…"

Serina's expression changed.

Serina: "Ryan."

Ryan picked it up.

Serina: "Don't."

Ryan: "What's this?"

Serina: "Give it back."

She reached for it.

Ryan lifted his hand above his head.

Ryan: "A diary?"

Serina: "RYAN!"

Ryan laughed.

Ryan: "What's inside?"

Serina jumped.

She couldn't reach.

Serina: "Give it!"

Ryan: "Come on, cutie pie. Just one look."

Serina jumped again.

Still nothing.

Ryan: "You're too short!"

Serina: "Ryan!"

She tried grabbing his arm.

Ryan moved away, laughing.

Ryan: "Let's see…"

He opened the diary.

Serina's face went pale.

Serina: "Don't read that!"

Ryan began reading silently.

His smile slowly disappeared.

His eyes widened.

Ryan: "Wait…"

Serina: "Ryan, stop!"

Ryan looked at her.

Then at the diary.

Then back at her.

A mischievous grin slowly appeared.

Ryan: "No way."

Serina: "Please…"

Ryan raised the diary higher.

Ryan: "You…"

He paused dramatically.

Ryan: "YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON ETHAN CARTER "

Silence.

Complete silence.

The courtyard stopped.

Students from the second-year classes turned around.

Students from the third-year block stared.

Even people standing near the nearby throwball court looked toward them.

Serina stood completely frozen.

Her face burned with embarrassment.

Serina: "Ryan…"

Ryan's smile disappeared.

Ryan: "Uh…"

Then—

Footsteps.

Heavy footsteps.

Everyone slowly turned.

Ethan Carter had just entered the courtyard.

He was still wearing his basketball uniform.

His hair was messy.

His face was exhausted.

His breathing was heavy.

He looked angry.

Very angry.

He had just come from the tournament.

And he had heard everything.

Ryan's voice echoed once more in the silent courtyard.

"Ethan Carter."

Ethan's blue eyes slowly moved toward Serina.

Serina couldn't move.

For the first time, she wished she could disappear.

And Ethan…

Just stared at her.
