Michael didn't like emotions as they always found a way to blur things out.
He noticed the oddity between Selene and Sophia, but he wasn't the only one. Everyone noticed.
However, he couldn't help but feel responsible for their differences, probably because it was all his fault.
This trip was a test for him, a test of how close he could get to the others. Selene had fallen into place far too easily, and it wasn't a surprise once he got to know the real her. She was… easy.
And that made things complicated for him.
He knew the others would require more work as it seemed like they had no intention of welcoming him into the group, especially Luca and Gabriel.
Gabriel didn't want to associate with Michael because of their background difference while Luca didn't want to welcome Michael because of Selene.
It was finally their last day on Bellmare island. He hadn't gotten closer to anyone else and Sophia was holding a grudge.
