I thought he was gay. From the very beginning, I had never considered him being… not gay.
"What are you talking about?" I asked. "What do you mean she watched?"
Jordan smiled. "Just that. She stood there and watched."
I froze. How was I supposed to respond to that? I wanted to know what happened but because of experience, I knew he would hate it if I asked. And besides, we were currently being watched. I didn't want to ask him about something he wouldn't be able to answer on TV.
All these were just excuses, I simply didn't know what to say.
"You're not going to ask questions?" he asked.
I hesitated for a while. "How do you feel?"
He chuckled. "They sent me to an asylum for 'therapeutic healing," but then when I got out, I tried to throw her off the building and the whole world exploded on me."
That was not the answer to my question. I couldn't believe I had asked him to be his cheerful self just minutes before.
