As Morgana and her mother continue speaking in hushed tones, a low growl cuts through the silence.
They both turn sharply in unison, eyes wide as they catch sight of Eryx shifting from his wolf form just a short distance away.
His body stretches into human form with quiet but unmistakable finality, and the moment their eyes meet, time seems to freeze.
"Eryx?!" Morgana mumbles, the word barely escaping her throat.
"I thought you went shopping or something... what are you doing here?" Eryx asks as he steps closer, his expression unreadable but sharp with tension.
"Oh... Mira collapsed, so I rushed her to the nearest medical center," Morgana replies, her voice trembling slightly despite herself.
She hadn't expected to see him here. He sure can't know about this place, can he?! Was he led here by the sound of the pup's heartbeat? And why was he here anyway?
