Chapter 105: Legacy in the Making

Niels caught a morning train from Amsterdam to a small town near Eindhoven. Thomas's advice was still on his mind.
"Start building a coaching identity. One that travels with you."
His backpack was at his feet. Inside were a book about football psychology, his notes from Milan, Genoa and Utrecht, and the pages he had written during his time in the Dutch countryside.
The train passed through the countryside as it headed south. Fields stretched out beside the tracks, with canals and windmills appearing every so often. Niels watched the view for a while before going back through his notes.
His next stop was a youth academy near Eindhoven. It would be his final visit before returning to Crawley.
He wanted to see how they worked with young players and take away a few ideas he could use at the club. After that, it would be time to head home and get back to work.
