Chapter 12 - Family time

Ten years passed without much happening—until one day…

"Honey, I'm pregnant."

Huh? What?!

No way!

"Yes, honey, I am."

Well, we need to get ready.

We need to get clothing, a crib, and so much more. Let's go shopping.

The next day…

"Honey, are you ready to go shopping for our child?"

"Yes."

"Well, let's get going."

The day ended, and we had spent over two million jade coins.

A year passed, and it was finally time for Mang Lu to give birth to our child.

It's a boy!

"Waaawaaaa," the baby cried.

"We will name you Lin Fu."

Lin Fu was a remarkably smart kid. He started reading and writing at the age of two, and by the time he was three, he was strong enough to lift boulders weighing two tons. He was our pride, our joy—our incredible son.

Two years passed, and it was time for Lin Fu to begin cultivating.

I taught him the very basics: how to sense his meridians and feel the Qi flowing through his body. He caught on quickly.

The very next day, he was already cultivating diligently.

It was time for me to teach him everything he needed to know.

But I wanted to wait a few more weeks and just spend carefree time with my son—while it still lasted.

Something was coming.

And it wasn't good.

All I could do was prepare, as I had been these last few years.

To be continued…
