Chapter 16 - The inconvenience of being a god

I now oversee the universe—no, the multiverse—of universe-sized planets from which I came. Yet, for some reason, I feel like there's more to come. There's more power to obtain… higher realms to reach. I don't know why I feel this way, but deep down, I know I haven't reached the ultimate level of power yet.

But that's not what I need to worry about right now. What matters most is figuring out how to make my family strong enough to exist in the same realm as I do, so I won't have to leave them behind.

It's time for me to take the form of my avatar, return to my planet, and see my family.

"It's been ten days. Where have you been?" Mang Lu asked, clearly displeased.

Sorry, honey. I need to talk to you about something… alone.

Honey, I'm not part of this world anymore.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

I'm using an avatar right now. In truth, I've become a god, and I now oversee this world—and countless others.

"Huh!"

So I either need to create new bodies for you and our son, or I need to help both of you achieve the same ascension I have. Preferably the latter.

But it will take many years to help you ascend. I may have to leave from time to time… but I will create a guardian for you both.

Honey, it's going to be rough, but we've got this.

"We've got this, honey. I'll wait for all of eternity for you."

Thank you, honey. I know you've been through a lot, but we can get through this—together.

"Together."

And so, the journey to help my family grow stronger begins.

To be continued…
