Evelyn's chest kept rising and falling in heavy breathing, waiting for Luca whose voice she was no longer hearing.
The sudden cold touch she felt on her arm, startled her, but the man Luca was quick to slap a palm over her mouth, keeping her quiet.
"Shhhh," he said to her, leaning in to whisper, "Be careful. Don't make any noise. This is your only chance of getting out of here. If you and I are caught, forget you, I am freaking dead, alright?"
She rapidly nodded at him.
Luca grabbed her hand, pulled her aside a little bit, and proceeded to push the wall she'd hidden against.
Her pupils dilated.
He explained, "It exists for an easy quick escape if anything were to go wrong. Valerio is not a simple man. He's involved in a lot of things I wouldn't speak about, hence why he has far too many houses."
He grabbed her hand and walked in, slowly closing the wall.
"What if there are guards in here?" she asked.
