Volume Two
Chapter Six: Covered Love Unmasked
INT. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE – NIGHT
The coalition's operation was in full swing. Team Scorpion's tech was humming, the cartel and cops were working side by side, and for the first time, it felt like they might actually have the upper hand.
But in the shadows, one figure moved with a different kind of confidence—Agent Dani Delgado, known to the cartel as "D." She'd been the quiet observer, the one who always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, blending in with both sides.
INT. MAKESHIFT COMMAND CENTER – NIGHT
As Walter and Happy tracked the latest masking signal, Paige noticed Dani quietly slipping a slim file onto the table. The cover read:
JUST D REPORT – OPERATION: COVERED LOVE
Paige picked it up, eyebrow raised. "What's this? Another one of your secret recipes, D?"
Dani smirked, her eyes glinting with mischief and something sharper. "Nope. Just the truth, finally coming out."
She cleared her throat, then—channeling the cadence of a drill sergeant and the bite of a battle rapper—delivered her roast, aimed squarely at Chuck Lagooni, the cartel's self-proclaimed "military advisor," who'd been boasting about his "combat" experience all night.
DANI (with a sly grin):
Day app, parade rest—nah, you couldn't even shun
Show up to roll call, but you're already done
Chuck Lagooni tried to flex, but killed his own vibe
Claimed a Purple Heart for a paper cut—nice try
You say you're a soldier, but you're more like a toy
Marching in circles, just a lost little boy
You needed my badge, my name, my face
Just to log in and try to keep up the pace
You talk about plans, but you're stuck in your bed
Dreaming of medals you'll never have on your chest
I need real soldiers—men and women who fight
Not keyboard commandos who ghost in the night
So salute if you want, but you're not in my ranks
You're just playing pretend, while I'm earning my thanks
Like Eminem said, you fall with the toys
But I'm leading the charge—real grit, real noise
The room went silent for a beat—then erupted in laughter, applause, and a few stunned faces. Even Lucía Ortega, cartel boss, cracked a rare smile.
VOIGHT (grinning):
"Damn, D. Remind me never to get on your bad side."
PAIGE (to Dani, impressed):
"Is there anything you can't do?"
Dani shrugged, her demeanor shifting from playful to deadly serious. "There's one more thing you all need to know. I'm not just here for the ride. I'm UC—deep cover. Operation: Covered Love. The Just D Report? That's my work. I've been tracking the masking tech, the trafficking, and the fake identities for months. And now, with all of you, we finally have the firepower to take the whole network down."
She slid the file across the table, pages filled with names, locations, and evidence—enough to blow the conspiracy wide open.
DANI (firmly):
"Let's finish what I started. Together."
The coalition looked at her with new respect. The game had changed. With Dani's intel, Team Scorpion's tech, and the combined force of cops and cartel, they were no longer just reacting—they were on the attack.
PAIGE (raising an imaginary glass):
"To real soldiers. And to the ones who know the difference."
The team geared up, united by truth, grit, and a little bit of righteous swagger.
