"What did you do?" Dylan repeated when Gamma said nothing for a long time. His voice was deadlier than it was the first time.
Gamma looked up at me with pleading eyes, but I looked away.
"Don't you waste any more time than you already have." Declan warned with clenched teeth. His eyes were fixed on Gamma in a deadly stare.
"I cast the recalling spell." Gamma replied with a quivering voice. His whole body trembled and his eyes darted about restlessly.
"You did what?" Dylan asked, disbelief written all over him.
Gamma didn't say anything else. He couldn't. But he didn't have to. His silence said it all.
"Whose life did you trade for your daughter's?" Declan asked.
"How did we not see her again after you cast the spell?" Dylan asked.
Gamma looked from Dylan to Declan, not sure whether or not to answer their questions, or which question to answer first.
