I followed behind Cedric while he led the way to Omega's quarters. The pain was there, but I easily ignored it. I had the feeling that I was about to find out something important. The reason the mark is infected, perhaps.
But why did his expression turn angry?
No, what I should be asking is why exactly is Declan in Omega's quarters? What was he doing there? And where is his brother?
Omega's quarters seemed deserted, with fewer people around. It seemed like most of them had returned with Unity pack members to Unity pack.
But I knew that was not the case. I mean who in his right senses would leave a pack with three leaders for one with no leaders?
A loud thud sounded ahead of me just then, and pulled me out of my thoughts. It forced me to look up to see that Cedric had kicked the entrance to Omega's quarters open, and was waiting rather impatiently for me to walk up to him.
