Chapter 27 - Die With Me, Monster

The obsidian-like mask remained sturdy, not completely shattered, with several large fragments still embedded in the faceplate.

But even the residual shockwaves that penetrated the inside of the mecha caused General Flaxan, who had undergone more than ten biological modification surgeries, to bleed from his seven orifices and his internal organs to turn to mush.

"Sta... start the self-destruct program!"

Through the light shining in through the broken mask, General Flaxan saw the god-like and demon-like figure charging towards him again. He coughed up blood and resentfully and unwillingly initiated the program.

Beep beep beep!

Besides the mask, the lines on the mecha, which seemed forged from a solid block of cold steel alloy, actually began to flicker with red light, as if violent and terrifying energy was shining through the mecha's weak points.

Charging in front of the ultimate mecha, the unusual scene made Russell stop his movements, vaguely feeling a threat.

"Die with me, monster!" Exerting his last bit of strength, General Flaxan used his last breath to push the control stick, flying up at the fastest speed and grabbing hold of Russell.

He wanted him to bear the maximum killing power of the mecha's self-destruct.

"Not good! The energy index of that mecha is rapidly climbing, it... it's self-destructing! Once it explodes, I'm afraid the entire city of Chicago will be razed to the ground!"

Having knocked down a Flaxan soldier, Robot's system interface flashed wildly, warning of a high-risk threat nearby. He turned his head and saw the ultimate mecha flashing with dangerous red light, shouting to warn everyone.

"What? -- Cousin!" A laser tank vehicle had just been thrown back into the portal. Mark's face changed drastically when he heard this, and he flew towards Russell, wanting to help him pull the ultimate mecha away.

"Don't come over, Mark."

Although he felt threatened, he was confident that with his defense that could withstand a normal nuclear explosion without injury, he wouldn't die, at most severely injured.

After the explosion, he would switch templates, use the Martian body reconstruction ability, and recover from severe injuries in a few seconds. The opponent's self-destruction, thinking they could die together before death, would at most take away his new battle suit.

Mark, who had only recently awakened his abilities, was different!

"No..."

But Mark misunderstood instantly, his eyes widening in anger and anxiety, thinking that Cousin Russell didn't want the explosion to kill him too. He charged even faster, wanting the two brothers to work together to beat the mecha!

"How can someone extend a hand like this and suppress even Superman, but I can't even suppress a Mark?"

Seeing Mark getting closer, Russell struggled even harder to break free from the mecha's grapple, wanting to knock it back into the portal.

Just then, a figure with a red cape flashed across the sky like lightning, grabbed the mecha's head with an iron hand, and tore it off Russell's body, flying towards the portal without looking back.

"Father?!"

Russell and Mark both recognized the figure as Omni-Man at a glance.

Russell knew that even he wouldn't die, let alone Omni-Man.

But Mark couldn't help but cry out, thinking that this time the person who died had changed from his Cousin to his biological father.

Fortunately, before entering the portal, Omni-Man looked back at his son and nephew, giving them a reassuring look, before turning and plunging into the portal.

Boom!

A very distant explosion sound came from the other side of the portal, followed by the apparent destruction of the equipment maintaining the portal, and the three portals flickered and disappeared.

"Father?" Eve and the others also recognized that it was Omni-Man, the most powerful Superhero on Earth, and they all turned to look at the shouting Mark in shock.

"Omni-Man is your father?"

"Uh..."

Mark scratched his head.

"So that means you're Omni-Man's nephew?" Eve and the others looked at Russell in a daze again.

This family, are they going to occupy all the slots for the most powerful Superheroes on Earth!

Russell did not deny it, looking at the place where the portal disappeared.

Omni-Man's departure this time was significant. He would spend nine months there, destroying the Flaxan civilization almost completely before returning.

"For a long time, the Flaxan will rebuild their civilization in ruins and will not send an invasion army again."

However, Omni-Man destroying the Flaxan civilization was not because he wanted to save Earth, but because he already regarded Earth as the Viltrum's possession and did not allow others to covet it.

"Especially when he is about to conquer the World, he doesn't want the Flaxen to open a portal and cause trouble!"

"Cousin, do you think Father will be okay?" Mark came over and asked worriedly.

"He'll be fine."

Russell waved his hand, telling him to put his heart at ease.

"The only thing you need to worry about now is yourself."

"Me?" Mark pointed to himself in confusion.

What did he have to worry about.

'Of course, I'm worried about whether your body and mind can withstand the comprehensive beating from your biological father when he reveals his disguise and sets out to conquer the World in the future.'

"Train hard, Mark," Russell said with a sigh, patting Mark's shoulder, and simply said, "Otherwise, your title of Invincible might cause discussion."

Mark scratched his head a little sheepishly.

He had been a bit hasty when he came up with that name at the time.

It was when he was playing catch with his father Omni-Man, who taught him to control his strength properly, saying that no young Superhero could withstand his strength, which gave him the inspiration to come up with the name Invincible.

As a result... Father probably didn't expect that Cousin would awaken his abilities the next day, and his strength would become stronger than his own within a few days.

Thinking of his father, Mark still looked worriedly at the place where the portal disappeared again.

The third Flaxan invasion was resolved, and the surviving citizens cheered loudly, looking gratefully at the young figure with the White cape in mid-air.

[Conquest Points +0.1]

[Conquest Points +0.08]

[Conquest Points +0.18]

In the city center, not only the people who survived the disaster, but also the young heroes like Eve looked at Russell's back above the battlefield with lingering shock in their eyes.

Infinitoid actually fought against a mecha whose power was comparable to a nuclear bomb and won easily, forcing the opponent to use the desperate self-destruct method in the end.

[Conquest Points +9]

[Conquest Points +12]...

The increase in Conquest Points refreshed before his eyes like a waterfall. Russell looked at it with joy for a moment and closed the notification.

"Conquest Points, points increase when a person naturally experiences emotions such as genuine liking, admiration, or awe to a certain extent when their mind is conquered.

It is worth mentioning that in the system's judgment, creatures other than humans and named plot characters, who seem to be humanoid but not human, can also provide Conquest Points, but the number of Conquest Points is even more negligible compared to ordinary people.

However, even so, the Conquest Points provided by an entire race of Flaxan are still extremely considerable!

"Especially this time..."

In the past, the Flaxan suffered setbacks in two invasions, but their strength did not suffer much loss. With time and technological advantages, the number of deaths was not high, even from Earth's perspective.

But this time was different.

Russell estimated that uncle Nolan had gone over and destroyed the Flaxan modern civilization almost completely.

He, this great enemy who had blocked two invasions, should be regarded as an important defensive force of Earth and feared and awed for a long time!

"Conquest Points might surge by several thousand points, or even tens of thousands of points?"

...

The great battle ended, and Russell and Mark returned home. Aunt Debbie was working, entering housing data into the website on her computer. She saw that her nephew was fine, but her son Mark came back looking worried.

"What's wrong?"

"Mom, Dad... grabbed a self-destructing mecha and rushed into the Flaxan portal..."

"Oh, so he'll miss lunch?"

Debbie didn't care and turned back to continue working on her computer screen.

"Mom...?" Mark was confused, not expecting his mother to react this way.
